A True Inspirational Book!
Well....I simply LOVE this book! Whenever Sherry writes a book, I'm never disappointed. She's my bead hero along with Heidi Kummli. Their first book is how I learned bead embroidery. I read and used it so much that the pages were coming apart (soft-bound). That's another reason I really like this book as it's a hard-bound book. I've read this book cover to cover, and I'm very pleased with her Basics, Creativity, Projects, Gallery, and Templates. In my opinion, her Projects are a combination of beginner and intermediate. The names of her Projects are Blooming Cuff, Siren of the Sea Neck-piece, Betty's Flower Child Earrings, Barnacle Pendant, Gumdrop Cuff, Sea Shell Cuff, Venice Neck-piece, Phoenix Neck-piece, Pagoda Earrings, Galaxy Purse, Bead Soup Bangle, Rodeo Bag, Buckle-Up Baby, Garden of Beads Necklace, and Queen of the Nile Collar. Very seldom do I make jewelry for myself as I either sell it or gift it to family and friends. However, I have gathered supplies to make Sherry's Siren of the Sea Neck-piece and the Queen of the Nile Collar for myself. For the Siren of the Sea Neck-piece I already have a seahorse stamping. However, it's larger than the one Sherry used, but I'll make it work by making mine a little larger. Regarding the Queen of the Nile Collar, I did discover what I felt were a couple of typo's. On page 109 under 'Supplies' the first item should be 'SIX' 12mm cabochons, Jet AB instead of five. And I never found Silky Beads in the indicated color of SAND. But instead I purchased LAVENDER PICASSO silky beads. I am thrilled with Sherry's new book and the projects are great! I admire Sherry's adventuresome spirit when it comes to using unconventional items within her bead work such as rusted round washers and make believe barnacles (really? ha!) along with the round filigree connectors. I would of never thought to find round beads to fill the holes so you could incorporate these connectors into your bead embroidery jewelry! Sherry always has a few surprises which makes her such a delight and an inspiration. If you look at some of her other photographs, you'll find she has used pencils, round buff brushes, other rusty parts, batik fabric, broken miniature dolls, the Road Runner, and claws. Thank you, Sherry, for another fabulous book!

"Inspired" is the Right Title -- Another Winner for Sherry Serafini and Bead Embroidery
I'm a huge fan of Sherry Serafini's work (gorgeous) and her method of teaching (awesome). This book is an outgrowth of her continuing exploration of bead embroidery. It's 128 pages of pure enjoyment. It's not quite as large (not as many projects) as some of her previous books, but in my mind this one is the best yet. The project on the cover does not do justice to what your finished project will look like! And I especially liked the purse project, because it jump-started some ideas for my own beaded handbag.I knew Sherry was working on a new book, and so when I saw it on pre-sale here on Amazon, I jumped on it. I had to wait awhile (impatiently, I must admit), but the wait was definitely worth it.Sherry -- next time I take one of your classes, I'm going to bring this to you to sign. :D

Another *MUST HAVE* Book from Sherry Serafini!!!
Sherry has done it again! Created an AMAZING book! The name, Inspired, is quite apt! Soooo much inspiration to be found in this book. Some new tricks to try out too - like her different twist on stack bezels. There are detailed projects, but really she wants you to find your own objects that *speak to you*. So don't expect these to be average items you can find in your bead stores. This books is mainly to show you how you can take ANY object and turn it into a work of art. She covers layering, using components, the usual basic type of stitches - some with a new twist to them. Detailed pictures to help you and very well written.

Great for design ideas
I love this book for its photos and design ideas. I found the description and illustration of the actual process of bead embroidery stitches and applying backing etc. for a total beginner to be a little thin. I have had to supplement with looking for videos of the detailed process and more specific information on resources and supplies. But for its intended purpose, this is a lovely book.

Wonderful Beading
The beading technics are easy to understand and there are patterns in the back of the book you can use along with a gallery of her finished designs. The pieces you will create will expand your beading knowledge and give you beautifully finished jewelry. This book should be in every beaders library. As you can tell I am a big fan of Sherry's work and have a collection of her books
