LIQUI MOLY Hydraulic Lifter Additive | 300 ml | Oil additive | SKU: 20004

I’ve been using this Liqui Moly hydraulic lifter additive and it works well. it helped quiet down some noise from the engine during long rides, which was a nice surprise. the 300 ml bottle is convenient for regular use, and i feel it keeps the lifters running smoothly. simple to add during oil changes and seems to enhance engine performance without any fuss. happy to have it on hand for maintenance.

So installed the Baxter Performance Cartridge to Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter on my Jeep 3.6 V6 and then did an oil change with 5W-30 full synthetic oil (instead of 0W-20) and then I added one Liqui Molli. My ticking 3.6 V6 is now silent. No kidding. No flush. It is silent!

I have seen the videos of this stuff instantly stopping lifter noises like most people looking into this product. However, it make the lifter noises less but didn’t eliminate all together. I added during an oil change on my wife’s 2012 GLK350 (128,000 miles on the car) She takes a trip once or twice a month that’s 52 miles one way. Usually when this takes place you can literally watch the gas gauge drop diving down the interstate. She was getting around 16-18 mpg and would fill up before she left and on her way back. After oil change and adding this she made her trip both ways and came back with over a quarter of a tank without stopping and filling up again. I was beyond impressed. I checked the read out on the computer when she told me and it was back to getting 21 mpg. Will definitely endorse and order again. This definitely solved a problem that I couldn’t see.

I had a ticking lifter in my 1991 Ford Ranger with an ancient 4 cylinder. Put this in and you couldn't hear anything. After about 1,500 miles, I noticed it was ticking again, but still very much quieter than before. Just dump a thing of this in with every oil change and you can keep an old engine running for awhile long before you need a tear-down. Use good quality oil and filters, too, as this stuff will clean your engine out really well. It's designed to unclog oil galleries so oil can get back to a dry (ticking) lifter...if you catch it in time. If it's hella worn from being dry for awhile there won't be much you can do and you'll probably be in my boat where you need to keep adding this stuff regularly.

I was working on my 1967 F100. It hadn’t been cranked in over 20 years. It was a 352 V8. I had several problems during start up. I bent 3 push rods as the valves were stuck. I replaced the pushrods and utilized several products to get the valves to release. I got the motor cranked again and it was running very well but had a terrible tick because of a stuck lifter. I sprayed many different lubricants into the lifter area and added different products to the oil with zero affect. It was a serious tap that would definitely lead to engine failure if I ran it like this for long. I was searching YouTube for any possible chemical treatment as I was resigned to remove the head and replace the lifter when I ran across a video about liquid moly. So I ordered the product and added it to my fresh oil. Within two minutes the tapping stopped. All I can say is that was definitely miraculous!

Well I did read the reviews AFTER I bought it. It’s kinda like STP oil additive. It did nothing for my lifter noise.

On all Chevrolet/GMC gasoline V8 engines from 2012 thru 2020 that has the Adaptive Strategy cylinders cutoff. The lifters are failing causing issues and a VERY expensive repair bill. To keep that from happening or lessening the chance of happening Oil changes on a regular basis will help and by adding detergent additives to quality motor oils will keep the lifters clean and lessen the issues with the adaptive strategy system. I have been using Liqui Moly Hydraulic Lifter Additive to my Oil Changes to keep everything working as it was designed to do and keeps valve lifters clean and operational. Also lubricates other vital engine parts as well. It DOES NOT extend oil changes so oil changes when the oil change light appears on the dash display it is time to change oil and if driving off road and in dusty environments go with 3 months 3000 miles. Efficace sur une 320i e36. Le clac clac au démarrage a été complètement réduit et a quasiment totalement disparu. Néanmoins, il m'a fallu rouler un bon millier de Km après avoir mis l'additif pour qu'il commence à faire effet
