Minn of the Mississippi Paperback – Picture Book, 11 Oct. 1978

Wonderful book for reading with children. Gives a great understanding of the Mississippi river.

Excellent book, highly recommended.

Should be required reading for all elementary school kids in North America

Minn of the Mississippi, _a baby turtle -- as well as A Tree in the Trail - and Journey to the Sea are all wonderful books. We read them to our daughter as bedtime stories -- second or third grade (each probably a week to get through) Educational - as per critters, grography and history of the USA.How can one not enjoy learning how a small indian crafted boat (one foot long) finds its own way down to the sea on its own -- The great lakes connect - he even goes over Niagra Falls - for example

We borrowed a hard copy from the library that fell apart upon opening. This new copy was in great shape and will be a great replacement to its aged (and hopefully well-loved) predecessor.
