Byron Wired Bell Push Surface Mounted - Chrome

This bell-push exactly fitted the existing holes of the broken brass one it replaced. It looks great and hopefully will stay that way, unlike the old brass one which had aged under the varnish. It was a little fiddly to connect as the light bulb has to be fitted at the same time to the same terminals. Patience rewarded in the end and I now have a very smart, shiny silver, lit-bellpush. Well pleased with the result.

Looks nice and works well but as other reviewers have said, what a pain to install the bulb if you want it illuminated. Turn the white base a quarter of a turn to remove it, then you’re presented with a space to insert the bulb. The problem then is how you get it connected and staying in place. I ended up undoing both the screws and removing the two metal side clips completely, then making the bulb wires into a V shape, putting the bulb roughly in place before clamping the bulb wires with the metal clips. Fine if you have small fingers but mine are like bananas. Why the manufacturer has decided on such an incredibly fiddly design I have no idea... using an MES bulb would’ve been so much simpler. 5 stars for the look of the thing, 2 stars taken off for the faff of installation, if you want it lit up.

This bellpush is the best I could find. It has a plastic base but a sturdy metal from. It is not a mere matter of joining the wires and screwwing it in place. Unfortunately there is a bulb to fit which is not connected. From blogs, I learned, after the fact, that a bulb is included but I could not find it. Perhaps I threw it away with the packaging. So I had to buy 3mm filament bulbs and fit them, with difficulty, myself. However, it was worth it. It is so much better than the fully plastic bellpushes. To the manufactrers, I say, highlight the presence of the bulb on the packaging. To those considering buying, I can recommend this bellpush as long as they are made aware of the installation requirements.

Very good and actually illuminates. Plenty listed on the internet that say they do and don’t.

My porch area is quite dark so when this was initially installed I was very satisfied as the bell press illumination was just what I needed. The installation was easy but the bulb connecting was slightly fiddly for my husband. After just over a year the light stopped working - this was the only reason I bought this product. I'm going to replace this product with a product from elsewhere now.

This button looks really nice with the metal finish and illumination. However the build quality is terrible and was faulty from the go (stuck on) as it used some kind of micro switch rather than a simple metal to metal connection . It is also hard to fix the wires as they wrap around screw heads rather than under a plate or into a hole.

It's a really good bell push item, it doesn't come with any wiring so there must be an existing bell in place, it lights up well at night so really no problems BUT whatever you do be very, very, very careful that you do not unscrew the tiny little grub screw too much or else it will be lost forever rendering the bell push to the elements

ziet en voelt redelijk degelijk , al zit de drukker zelf slechts met twee kluitjes lijm vast, we gaan het zien of het, net als de oude drukker , ook 22 jaar heel blijft. 😉

Sonnette filaire nullissime. Non seulement l'aspect fait plastique et en plus au moindre coup de vent, elle se déclenche... résultat réveil intempestif à 2h du matin ! Si j'avais pu la retourner ce serait avec plaisir mais étant donné qu'elle est posée, cela me semble difficile. Il ne me reste plus qu'à la changer. Ne mérite même pas une etoile.

Shipping was faster than what Amazon stated. The bulb is not installed but is included. Instructions are very basic but I was able to figure out how to install the bulb correctly after a few attempts. Overall I'm satisfied and the push button has been installed for about 3 weeks with no issues.

Das Anschließen war etwas schwierig da die Anschlüsse wirklich sehr klein und fummelig sind. Habe dann den bestehenden 1,5mm2 Klingeldraht irgendwie reingepfuscht. Kostete etwas Zeit und Nerven. Die Montage war sonst aber okay. Dann funktionierte die Klingel eigentlich ganz gut, allerdings nur für 3 Monate. Eines Morgens klingelte der Postbote die Klingel machte komische Geräusche, wie sich herausstellte war der Klingeltaster hängen geblieben und verursachte einen "Kurzschluss". Die Mechanik des Klingel-Tasters hat, wies scheint, nach nur 3 Monaten Verwendung aufgegeben. Bin enttäuscht!
