My son is getting into coin collecting, so I bought him this, and for $30 you can't go wrong. He had it up and running in just a few minutes. The screen is very clear and the magnification is great! It is a very well-built product as far as the material goes. Time will tell on the electronic portion, but for $30, if it lasts a year with moderate use, I got my money's worth and then some. The lighting of the item is very even, and there aren't any areas over-exposed. This is the kind of item you buy when you want to try out a concept before really investing in it. I'm sure I could spend hundreds for one with a 4K camera and screen, but for my needs, this works out fine, and I can use the savings to help him buy some coins for his collection. If your kids want to look at bugs, coins, or anything under magnification, this would make a great entry-level microscope for them.

I bought this microscope for my husband, who collects coins, and he absolutely loves it! The magnification is excellent for getting a close, detailed look at his collection, and the adjustment capability makes it easy to focus just right. The brightness is perfect — strong enough to see details clearly without being too harsh. It’s very lightweight, which makes it easy to move around, though it’s not quite as durable as I personally would like. Still, the overall quality for the price is great, and it does exactly what he needs it to do. It arrived on time and works perfectly right out of the box.

It's ok for the price. You get what you pay for. Maybe the LED light is to bright

I bought this to look for possible insect infestations on my orchids, wiping the underside of my orchid leaves Kleenex and then searching for little bodies underneath the microscope. I should have bought something a little bit stronger but the picture quality, ease of using, and quality of This microscope are all excellent.

This product is probably fine for most applications, but not for use in identifying gold when gold panning. I found the color and quality of the electronic images displayed on the screen just weren't good enough for me to confidently discern if the bright specs at the bottom of my gold pan were indeed gold or just shiny pyrite. It looks like I'm going to have to continue using a jeweler's loupe and sticking my head down in the pan to check if I really got gold or not...

Works very well , focusing is a bit touchy but ok if you take a fine touch to it , images are bright and clear . I like it .

This microscope works great and shows details on my coins that my hand held magnifier never showed. Definitely worth buying.
