This has become a go-to gift for kids of my horror loving friends. It's super cute and clever.

At first I thought this was a joke. It’s not. It’s a real book, really from “Little Golden Books”, and it’s both well written and clever.There is zero gore or horror, but there definitely IS tension in the very simple narrative. The artwork is well done, and the wording is appropriate for preschoolers and young readers.It also turns out that there are other “Little Golden Books” that are science fiction-based, such as several in the Star Wars universe.I think this is a great way to get little ones involved in reading “not what the kindergarten classroom is limited to”.

A Is for Alien takes the classic ABC formula and adds a charming twist: teaching your kids the alphabet while also subtly preparing them for the horrors of deep space.From “A is for Alien” to “X is for Xenomorph,” this book had my little one enthralled—and slightly concerned about what’s hiding under the bed. The illustrations are beautifully done, and the cute, kid-friendly depiction of Ripley holding Jonesy is a lovely touch. This purchase was to bump up my order to overnight delivery. I just needed an extra $5 purchase so this is what i chose.Seriously, this takes a scary classic and turns it into a cute kids style book. I'm not sure if i'd rwad it to a small child but then again, i've read worse to my own child years ago. This is just adorable for any grownup and will definitel elicit a good laugh

I mever thought this book would be a thing, or that I would want it. I loved it, and this is how I taught my daughter her ABCs. I was very cute and not gory, so it holds up for LGB.
