Simple, beneficial, and cost effective coding, and fault finding.
Having originally purchased an OBD II to Lan cable and obtained a copy of ESYS,I was not happy coding on a programme I was not familiar with, and you can do some serious damage to your ECU, rendering your car drive less,Carly for BMW has been a breath of fresh air, it’s so easy to use and you are safeguarded knowing that a back is obtainained and stored prior to any coding you undertake, i paid for the full version, and coded my BMW 4 series only to have a sidelight failure, but there’s no need to worry with Carly, as the pre-coding condition of the ECU is stored on a file, you simply hit restore and load the settings back into the ECU, after turning engine off and on again, the faults had gone, also I was having an intermittent stalling issue, when I scanned for faults on my 4 Series I had no less than 17 faults, some suggestions of power issues, I reset the faults via Carly which was so simple and re-scanned again for faults, this time the car reported no faults on my car, and it has been fine since.I also find the app and OBD II connector works flawlessly over Wi-Fi, and the Carly app is very quick and responsive. 🔌🚗 "A Versatile OBD Adapter, But Mixed Performance Leaves Room for Improvement"
As someone who frequently works on and troubleshoots various makes of vehicles, the Carly WIFI GEN 2 OBD Adapter caught my eye with its claims of universal compatibility and the promise of cutting-edge diagnostics. The prospect of a single adapter that could handle everything from BMWs to Toyotas was certainly appealing. After giving this adapter a thorough test across multiple car brands, I can say that it generally delivers on its core functionality. The setup process was straightforward, and I was able to quickly connect it to my iPhone and begin accessing valuable vehicle data through the Carly app. The fault reporting and used-car-check features proved to be quite useful, providing detailed insights that helped me better understand the health and history of the vehicles I was working on.However, the performance of the adapter was a bit of a mixed bag. While it worked reliably with some makes and models, I did encounter occasional connectivity issues and inconsistent data readings with others. The lifetime warranty is a nice perk, but it doesn't entirely make up for the frustration of having to troubleshoot glitches in the middle of a diagnostic session."Customers say" the quality and accuracy of this adapter are hit-or-miss, and I can't help but agree. It's a capable device that can be a valuable tool, but the inconsistent performance keeps me from giving it an unequivocal recommendation.Overall, I'd rate the Carly WIFI GEN 2 OBD Adapter a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. 🌟🌟🌟✨ It's a versatile and feature-rich adapter that will likely work well for many users, but the occasional hiccups and the need for some trial-and-error troubleshooting may be a dealbreaker for those who require a seamless, reliable experience. If you're willing to put in a bit of extra effort, this could be a worthwhile investment. Otherwise, you may want to explore other, potentially more consistent OBD adapters on the market.

Works great once you get the hang of it
Great product, only drawback is the price. If you want to make only a few minor changes to your car you still need to make a full year subscription purchase. Should be optional 1,3 and maybe a 6month subscription available for more temporary use.

Useful
Works on two of my cars, downside is subscriptions, and claims to be able to do more than it does, but still effective and useful.

Not Impressed & Be Careful
Well I made a mistake when I purchased this. This is a big con by "Carly" to force you to buy multiple adaptors and multiple versions of the app's.The Adaptors are the same other than 1 has a wi-fi module and the other has Bluetooth. My Android phone will connect to the "iPhone" version and I would imagine that an iPhone would connect to the Android version but I am not sure since I don't own any Apple products. The App on my Android phone will not connect to the Adaptor because Carly have designed it to only connect via Bluetooth instead of allowing it to connect via Bluetooth or wi-fi.That is simply to force people to buy multiple adaptors and multiple app's, I can understand about the app's as some people will only need it for 1 manufacturer, but come on seriously how pathetic is it to force an adaptor to only work on one platform, when it clearly does not need to be locked to just one platform.Luckily my brother has an iPhone and the app so I will be able to use his phone and app, but if he didn't then I would have to return this or go and get a 2nd hand iPhone or iPad because the manufacturers are so greedy, in milking people by forced incompatibility that does not need to be an issue. Not impressed at all, look elsewhere for your adaptors and software especially if you use multiple devices.

The app will cost you an extra £60 a year but it's worth it.
If you've spent thousands on a car, spend a hundred on this (app will cost you £60 a year on top of the adapter).Comfort access, running lights, brightness of xenons, true speed reading, alarm configuration and comfort settings are just some of the things you change with this.Being a fault reader this thing can also save you a lot of money. Highly recommended.
