A Game Changer in 3D Printing - Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro
The Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro 3D Printer has redefined my 3D printing experience entirely. As a hobbyist, I've used various printers, but this model stands out with its impressive features and capabilities. From the upgraded components to the user-friendly design, this printer has transformed my home 3D printing setup. I have used this printer for a bit over a month and below are my thoughts on my experiences. Features That Stand Out: High-Temp Nozzle and All Metal Direct Drive Extruder: The inclusion of a high-temperature nozzle and all-metal direct drive extruder is a game-changer. I can now experiment with a broader range of materials, including advanced filaments that demand higher temperatures. The extruder design also minimizes filament jams and enhances overall print reliability. I used various SainSmart filaments, many of which worked without issues. Flexible PEI Bed: Printing adhesion is no longer an issue, thanks to the flexible PEI bed. Prints adhere firmly during the print and pop off effortlessly once the bed cools down. This eliminates the need for adhesives and tape, saving time and ensuring a clean finish. Getting the leveling correct for the bed is where most people have issues with the adhesion. You want the first layer of print to be compressed enough but not too much to where the filament backs up into the nozzle of the printer. It is definitely a learning curve for anyone who is getting into 3D printing. CR Touch Auto Leveling: The CR Touch auto leveling feature is a time-saver. No more manual bed leveling frustration. The printer automatically adjusts the bed level before each print, ensuring consistent first layers and reducing the chances of failed prints. This works 95% of the time and only sometimes requires fine adjustments to make sure everything is leveled. Overall, a great feature to have with a 3D printer. Upgraded Build Volume: The upgraded build volume of 220×220×270mm provides ample space for larger projects. This expanded capacity has opened up new possibilities for intricate, larger-scale prints. This is a gamechanger when wanting to orientate prints in a way to make them stronger based on how the layers of filament are. Many 3D printers are too small in this aspect. User-Friendly Experience: Setting up the Ender 3 S1 Pro was a breeze. Creality's clear instructions and labeled parts made assembly straightforward. The user interface is intuitive, with a responsive touchscreen that grants easy access to printer settings and preloaded models. Print Quality and Speed: The print quality is impressive for the cost of the printer. The printer consistently produces sharp, detailed prints with clean lines and minimal layer inconsistencies. The direct drive extruder contributes to smoother filament flow, resulting in more accurate prints. Moreover, the print speed remains impressive, striking a balance between efficiency and quality. From my years of experience with 3D printing, many imperfections in 3D prints are due to the inconsistencies with 3D filaments such as varying diameters, humidity trapped in the filament, or potentially the actual type of filament used. Room for Improvement: While the Ender 3 S1 Pro is undoubtedly a fantastic printer, there's always room for improvement. The inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity or an Ethernet port would enhance remote control and monitoring capabilities. Additionally, more filament options directly from Creality would be a welcome addition.

An Absolute Beast of a Printer
I have used my old Ender 3 Pro for three years now. And the two of us have had a lot of fun together. I've printed a lot of neat things with her. However, it always came at a cost. She never would hold a calibration longer than a single print. She jammed easily. I added several upgrades, which helped, but never removed, its obstinate nature. Enter the Ender 3 S1 Pro. I upgraded over Black Friday sales, and wow. Just wow. This thing is a printer. It's the printer your girlfriend told you not to worry about. It's got every technical upgrade one could reasonably desire to have on a commercial printer. She calibrates easily, and maintains that calibration across numerous prints. The Sprite Extruder is fantastic. I've had no jams, nor adhesion problems. It just prints. I ran TPU through it (never had the courage to do so on the Pro's bowden tube), and got stellar results without even trying. After years of fighting for a good print, now I can just print in peace. It's like joining Printer Valhalla after a long and tiring battle. Only complaint so far is the touch screen interface - while really nice - has immature firmware. Pausing a print to complete a filament change requires you to stop the print, then cancel the stop confirmation out, to reveal the resume print button. There are other little oddities like that. Nothing that can't be worked around, but a bit disappointing given the rest of the printer is 100% on point. Creality has really stepped up their game compared to their first offerings. If you enjoy 3D printing and are considering the upgrade - do it.

This is a sturdy, easy to assemble and easy to use 3D Printer.
I own multiple 3D printers. Out of the box this is the easiest one I have ever had to put together and use. Most of the structure is aluminum and put together with sturdy, substantial screws. First thing, The box is heavy. Much heavier than I expected. The packing is a heavy duty black foam with cutouts for the pieces. Most of the pieces are pre-assembled and almost all the wiring done right out of the box. Especially the high voltage and the anything carrying substantial current (extruder and heated bed) The base and the Y access is preassembled and well packed. The construction took me about 40 minutes from opening the box to starting the first print. The directions pretty good but I did look at the document on the web to get more detailed diagrams to speed up the assembly. The only part that was tricky was the gantry because it is 5 pieces that have to be put together perfectly which would be easier with an extra pair of hands. Everything was in the box as expected along with a couple extra screws, a nozzle cleaner, a diagonal cutter for fiber, a micro SD card with examples and documents, and some sample PLA to get you started with the printer. The display is color and easy to use. The power supply is dual voltage (make sure you set the voltage for your country. Mine shipped at 230 so I had to set it to 115 for the USA. There is even a nice power switch on the back and a normal computer power cord is included. If you want a nice quality and value priced printer I am not sure you can go better than this printer.

Print quality is amazing, adhesion is good if you level the bed and it's not a hard printer to use. There are some issues with it like the crappy bed springs and plastic extruder, but those issues can be fixed for as little as £12 by buying an Aluminium extruder and stiffer springs. Overall great first 3D printer, takes a little bit of time to get setup but once it's ready it'll do you good for whatever you need.

no matter what file I try to print, the printer just dashes through the percentages and says it’s finished just a few seconds after the nozzle is heated to the desired temperature.
