Great find
This is the best one I bought for my 8 years old boy. He is loving it. He is showing interest in building robots and feels like this is a great find from Amazon.

Lots of very small parts that need a way to organize.
You need to take things apart to make the next one. I Though I would be ab le to have more than one kid play with this and that's not the case. Its a lot of small parts that are easy to looks.

Good instructions but not intuitive to program.
My two teenage children and I enjoyed assembling a few of the projects. Unfortunately, trying to play with the programming side with anything other than the predefined programming was difficult and not user friendly. The symbols used are not easily differentiated and coupling them with other functions was a chore. It ended up getting mothballed soon after. The quality of the hardware was good, but the software could use some refinement.

not perfect, but i really like it
Notice in the headline I said "I..like it", not 'my kids like it'. My kids are too old for this, but fortunately I am not :-) Although this is aimed at kids 6 and up, as a 60+ year old kid with a love of cool tech toys, I found this to be a lot of fun. It contains a huge number of [Lego-compatible] pieces and comes with instructions to build a car and a few musicians [yeah - I wondered about that, too...]. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for building the dinosaur pictured on the container, and there are none on their web site. Speaking of the web site: it really stinks. There is little there of use except a link to the android/ios software used to program it. There is also a link to a Windows application that comes with no instructions and seems to do nothing at all. The web site could use a LOT of improvement. Maybe add instructions for all of the pictured constructs? I do object, VERY STRONGLY, to the there being no PC version of the programming app. Yes - it is purely graphical, but why force me to go to a tiny phone screen instead of a large PC monitor? This is a really infuriating trend. I guess development for android/ios is cheaper than developing for windows, but for us folks with clumsy fingers it is truly annoying to use on a phone screen. But, minor quibbles aside, this deserves 5 stars!

Can not program or control the robot, Bluetooth pairing does not work
The smartphone app "Makerzoid" that is intended for the Smart Robot premium package does not connect to the robot motor. I tried installing the app on different smartphones and followed instructions but the app never succeed to connect to the motor to be able to download the code to control the motor and robots. This is really nullify the whole value of the package, not being able to program the robot or the motor. This was a gift for my 9 year daughter and she was super excited but got a cold shower now. Do not buy any of their products. It is faulty and does not work

hours of learning and fun!
This is an awesome little starter kit for stem and programming. I don’t care if you’re a little kid, or an older one (some of us even pretend like we are adults!). This is simple enough to set up and use, but can be made more complicated too. There are a variety of projects in different capability levels it has laid out to build, using the blocks (almost like lego) that it comes with. You don’t have to stick with what it says though, just like the lego sets, you can build what it suggests, or you can become a master builder yourself! The program it has you use for programming is called Scratch Jr and is easy enough to follow. You do have to want it though! It does take some patience finding pieces and programming, so don’t think you can just take an hour and have everything the kit has to offer built and done…. This is something that can be used for quite a while! I know that it is kind of silly, but I do care about the storage and container it comes in… this is VERY nice. It comes with everything you need to hold it, and keep it organized. This is a great product, and is good quality.
