My first taste of Mate. Can't say I love it but it is an interesting alternative to "proper tea"
What I like most about this tea is that it doesn't seem to stew like our more traditional "English" tea. The flavour just grows more intense. I like to make a litre or so and pour out small cups every 20 minutes or so through the morning. Obviously the drink starts to cool as the flavour increases. I am a espresso coffee drinker but, even so, I can feel the caffeine buzz from this tea which is pleasant and unexpected.
