This is one of those toys that gets a child's brain working and keeps them interested while having fun. It's a toy that will give them satisfaction, accomplishment, and pride when the project is complete. This toy offers a variety of ways to complete it. Note the last two photos. There are two double-sided detailed instruction sheets that show exactly how to complete each project. Each step also indicates the part and how many are included. The screws and nuts are shipped inside a cellophane bag to avoid loss during shipping. Inside one of the parts bags are a screwdriver and size-appropriate wrench. The parts are well made and have a nice paint coat. I see no sharp edges to worry about. This is the type of toy some children may need assistance building. That will allow bonding time for the child and the person assisting.. This is a nice creative activity for a child and lets them use light-duty tools while learning. It's important to note this toy has a lot of small parts. I would recommend this toy, especially for those children that enjoy challenges.

My neighbor's son is in a cast and can't run around and play. I wanted to get him something that could take his mind off of his injury. This little kit has kept him busy for over 90 minutes. He built the excavator, but then took it apart to see what other things he could build. That is what makes this such a fun toy. The limit is only the imagination.
