First impressions are wow!
The media could not be loaded. First impressions are wow! I opened, and had it setup in less than 10 minutes. Sound, screen quality is excellent. Some big tablets have very poor sound, but this is great.I am especially happy with how solid it feels. I banged it against the table, and was pleased to see it was more solid than the table.I loaded up games and apps that I use regularly with my phone. And the speed was super fast, what I didn't realise is that I can add a sim card to it. Which could be very useful when out of range of wifi. The video quality is good. So it is handy for using for video calls as well. I will load up Whatsapp as well as that is a must for me.Price and quality has surprised me.Overall I am very very happy.

Best tablet weve had
This tablet was a last attempt to replace out autistic sons tablet as they break often this tablet has literally been bounced off the walls and is still going strong it’s perfect it’s not slow has so much storage my sim can watch YouTube play Roblox and Minecraft amongst other games with no lag or problems recommend for the kids with Sen it will last the only down fall I’ve had is the original charger was lost and I’m yet to find another that charges it well enough the original charger I would plug it in at night then by 7am fully charge and would last 2 days since losing the original charger it takes all day to charge but this was a fault of my own and id recommend not losing the original charger or buying one the exact and which I haven’t done yet

Better than I thought
So my son is 4 and thinks it's ok to chuck his tablet in water 🙈 after 2 tablets being ruined I decided I need to look into a waterproof one. I've always been put off to the thought of rugged ones as they are bricks however I found this lighter weight one and thought I'd give it a go. Surprisingly it's only around 130g heavier than his old one, he can carry it around no worries. I even managed to get a Samsung kids case so it can stand and it lines up with the charger point, mostly the volume button but the camera is a little covered but that doesn't bother him he won't be using that feature anyway. I can't believe how long the battery last compared to his Samsung and he's been using it mostly for videos and games. The sound and picture quality is perfect for him. I'm so glad I went for this tablet and now I don't have to worry if he throws it in any water again as long as I get it straight back out 🤞

A very nice tablet
The UMIDIGI Active T1 is my first foray into Android. First impressions were of a well presented, well packaged tablet. On lifting it out of its foam padded box it is obviously heavier than the iPad it replaced. Fair enough, I bought it for its claimed ruggedness and IP68 rating. The display is very good with a wide viewing angle. No good if you don't like others seeing your screen, but excellent if it's not aligned perfectly with your eyes.Setting it up was fairly intuitive. Took a while to locate the simcard slot as you have to peel back an edge of the armour to access it. I put in 1 simcard and a 128GB miniature sd card, effectively doubling the storage capacity.Tested the WiFi on 2.5 & 5 GHz, all good. 4G performance was also good. Location services are excellent with good GPS reception even indoors. Couldn't tell what constellation it was using.Audio quality is much better than my old iPad. Bluetooth didn't work on my admittedly old headphones but was fine using my Bluetooth speakers.I was unable to transfer files directly from iPad to the Umidigi (could be I don't know how) so I transferred everything from iPad - PC - Umidigi. The Umidigi came pre-loaded with a lot of apps, most of which were unfamiliar to me and there was no indication of their function. With the help of Google I removed several of them. All the apps I had on the iPad I've found in the Playstore. They all work just fine.I've given it a 5-start review but this tablet WILL get wet at some point (I will be using it as a navigation plotter on my yacht) so only time will tell if it lives up to its IP rating.

Two months in and it won’t charge
I thought this on the 23rd of October, it’s had very light use as I was getting it as a backup for the kids homework should my old laptop stop working but as of the 27th of December it will not charge at all. Absolute waste of money which I couldn’t afford in the first place.Do not buy

What's not to love?
Working in an industrial setting and needing a tablet, I knew an expensive device was not the best option. Enter Umidigi ... I had heard of them before, but had never used any of their products. I read lots of reviews and ordered it. I have not been disappointed. Excellent battery life, Android-based with no bloatware, and it fits perfectly into my tool bag, so I have all the information I need for OTG. The case that comes with it is also very good and is very rugged. It has survived a couple of "oopsies"! The stylus that comes with it is also a great idea, especially when you have dirty hands, but I have not used it too much to be honest; however, it is a great addition. All in all, this is a great value tablet, and I would not hesitate in recommending it for use in harsh environments or not.

Undecided
Initially seemed like a great tablet, feels robust it’s fast and the camera was great quality. Unfortunately it failed with a black screen within a couple of days. I contacted UMIDIGI with a question around data as I have a lot of important data on it both work and my password manager so I have security concerns around returning it without it being wiped. Support has been slow and pretty much useless. I did like the feel of the tablet and the camera as really fits the bill so I’ve arranged a return even though I’m nervous about my data and ordered another in the hope that I’ve just been unlucky. Maybe the supplier or Amazon can tell me step in and tell me how my data is going to be safe…?
