OtterBox Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Defender Series Case - Black, Rugged & Durable, with Port Protection, Includes Holster Clip Kickstand

Case is awesome but I feel like an idiot. I have had Defender cases for multiple Galaxy phones in the past and knew they separated into pieces to apply to the phone but when the case for my S24 Ultra arrived, it appeared to be all one unit. I tried to push my phone in and it was impossible so I returned it for a replacement, thinking my case was defective. When the replacement had the same problem, I realized I was doing something wrong and (moment of clarity) googled how to put the phone into the case. The system was the same as in the past, only better, and it fit perfectly. I hope I didn't stress my phone too much while trying to jam it into the case without taking the pieces apart and applying them properly. When I had issues with my first attempt, I tore open the box and looked for instructions on the inside but didn't see any. (If they were there, I missed them.) I think Otterbox should include a QR code on the box to guide people to a video on how to apply the case to the phone for people like me who are too dense to figure it out despite years of prior experience. I feel bad that I returned my first case and hope this review helps others to avoid the stupid mistake I made. I love this case (I love that it's bulky and can protect the camera lenses and keep them clean) and am so glad I figured it out. So far, my phone seems to have not been affected by the stress I put on it while trying to force it into the case while it was all connected as one unit. Great phone...hoping it lasts a long time.

Very nice case. This is my first otter box and I think it's very well made. I just got a new Galaxy S25 ultra and figured to go with one of the best and I wasn't disappointed.

I've been using almost exclusively Otterbox cases for my phones for the past few years and they've always served me very well. They're sleek and easy to hold, definitely very protective as I've dropped my phones often (I may be a bit clumsy at times, oops!). Overall good phone case. Only ever replaced em when getting either a new phone model or changing whichever kickstand grip I have on it. The included one here is nice, but admittedly I have not used it much and cannot provide feedback there - as a belt clip it's very snug and secure, though.

I have been an Otterbox Defender man since seeing my phone at 60 MPH bouncing in my rear view mirror through the pouring rain, eventually making its way over into a field (his was back when the Otterbox Defender had a built-in screen protector) where I found it with relatively minor scuffs on the corners of the case; phone remained pristine.As usual, this case fits snuggly, has a really low profile thickness for its quality of protection, is super simple to install as well as remove (though this is not at all recommended any more than necessary, as the plastic frame ends up breaking every time).

EDIT (2/21/2025): A month or two ago, I discovered that the case had cracked in two different places. I watched it crack as I pulled it out of my back pocket. I've never had an Otterbox fail so quickly and so hard within only a year. My phone hasn't actually taken any damage, so that's good! But I've never had to get a new case for a phone before. After having 3+ pairs of headphones break with only minimal use due to the use of plastic in critical areas, I wonder if there is a material issue going around? Good case while it lasted but now I'll have to see if this is a one-off or a new and disappointing trend.OG Post:Never been failed by an Otterbox. I very attentively take care of all my devices and always have been careful, ever since I was small. (My mother always said that I couldn't use a device until I'd completely read its manual...)After applying this case and a screen protector, I haven't had a scratch, dent, ding, or scrape~. I've only dropped my phone twice in the many months I've owned it, and the case didn't even take a single scuff.If I ever get a car, I'll probably look for some way to pop a giant Otterbox on it. It'd look dumb, but I think it'd be neat. They just always work!

This requires a screen protector, but otherwise it works well to protect my phone.
