A Deep Dive into the Epic History of Azeroth
"World of Warcraft Chronicle Volume 3" is a must-have for any fan of the Warcraft universe. This volume continues the epic journey through Azeroth's deep history, focusing on the events following the rise of the Burning Legion and the pivotal moments that shaped the world we know in World of Warcraft. The book is packed with detailed lore, captivating stories, and stunning artwork that brings the events and characters to life. From the intricate relationships between key factions to the complex backstory of major figures like Illidan, Khadgar, and the Titans, it’s an indispensable resource for understanding the true depth of the Warcraft universe. The artwork alone is worth the price, with breathtaking illustrations that vividly depict the world’s greatest battles and moments of significance. What I particularly appreciate is how the Chronicle series ties together different parts of Warcraft lore in a cohesive and accessible way.Whether you’re a long-time player or new to the Warcraft universe, "Chronicle Volume 3" is an essential addition to your collection. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to truly understand the rich history of Azeroth.

Very Well designed book.
First, the simple question as I notice several reviews may not mention it or only in pieces, what parts of Warcraft lore does this volume cover? It covers from the ending of Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal (with Khadgar and co being stranded on Draenor/Outland) to World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion.Second, how does it measure up to volumes 1 & 2? In terms of size, it is about the same size as volume 2 (224 pages versus 204 pages in volume 2). However, please note that I did encounter a total of 3 blank pages in Volume 3 compared to just 1 blank page in Volume 2.Third, the artwork. I know several review mention the quality of the artwork in comparison to volume 2. I myself, love it all as some pieces show parts of lore never before shown in art by either Blizzard or amateur artists. Yet, I am also analytical person. So, I decided to do a count of the amount of art in volume 2 to volume 3 for comparing just numbers.- Volume 2 has a total of 45 pages of art. That's about 22% of the book.- Volume 3 has a total of 59 pages of art. That's about 26% of the book.*Yes, I did count the art on the Table of Contents page in both volumes as it is unique and does not reappear again in their respective volume.Basically, the additional 20 pages added to Volume 3 over Volume 2, could be seen as an additional 14 pages of art and 6 pages of content. It does seem like there will be at least, a Volume 4 to cover lore from Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion & Battle for Azeroth as well as any novels within them.

Great book
These chronicles are a good and fun way to catch up on all the lore of WoW. With so many expansions, it can be hard to learn all of the lore which is why I wanted to buy these books. Happy with my purchase and my kids have even been interested in reading them.

Modern days, World of Warcraft's ordering of events.
Very nice to be more aware of modern days events.Starts mostly with Warcraft 3. If you already know the events, there wont be much more added. If you don't like RTS and haven't bothered to play/watch WC3, this willl pretty much explain the story as no book before had.Once it jumps into post-third war times, I really liked the ordering of events. As a "champion/adventurer/hero" you get to de anything at anytime as long as the game content allows it. On the other hand you might not be much into quests and miss a lot of events. This book records and places most of the events happening during WOW (up to certain point, leaving place for a future 4th book i hope). This way you'll know who did what (champions of course, but often either horde or alliance, sometimes leaded by known characters), and some events you might have missed if you don't quest too hard.Lovin' it.

Solid backstory to the WoW experience
I really like the choices they made while writing this, they retconned a few things that needed retconning. They even canonically attribute each raid to either the horde the alliance or certain lore figures but they made sure to mention the heroes of WoW (us) with each victory. Overall one of my favorite in this series of lorebooks I'm loving all the chronicles so far and looking forward to MoP and forward books.

Warcraft lore fan? Then this is worth reading.
Overall I enjoyed this chronicle of Warcraft’s history just as I did the first two. The style of writing is relatively straightforward and conveys meaning well. That being said, I would recommend fans purchase the physical version of this item. The kindle version is formatted a little odd at times and inadvertently disrupted the experience. Like the previous volumes publishes in this Chronicle there is a fair bit of redundancy but if the reader can get past that then I think they’ll enjoy the book and find it quite worth the purchase.
