Though this is a super excellent quality Maca and I love the rich taste and smell, it is not for everyone. I have noticed being on it that I have not been sleeping very well for the last 4 weeks and wasn't sure why. Knowing what I've heard from the past that Maca can give a lot of energy I looked up that benefit and sure enough it is reported to also cause insomnia as a side effect. Now after being off it for just 4 days I'm finally getting a good nights sleep the last two nights. It can really be detrimental to lose sleep over time, my memory was not doing too well and I was dragging myself all the time, felt no motivation from being so tired. Now I'm getting it back like before. Even though this is an energy herb and some people might not have sleep issues taking it if you do then it defeats its purpose for giving more energy. Some might take it for libido enhancement but even with that if you consistently lose sleep over time your not going to have good stamina, mood or libido. I'm not sure how this works in most others, but just to say be aware of this potential issue happening with you.

I bought this because of the health benefits that maca has and purchased the geletinized ( this kind) because it is supposed to digest better and decrease upset stomach that typical raw Maca can have.Flavor: I have tried both raw and gelatinized Maca and noticed that the gelatinized has a deeper flavor than the raw kind. The flavor resembles butterscotch or caramel but I imagine that with a vegetable taste also. Macha is a type of radish and so if you can imagine the combination of those two that's what it's like. It's really not bad, but I don't mind most things when it comes to taste.Mix ability: better than the raw, it has a tendency to clump up some but it's fairly easy with just a spoon.Health benefits: this is the whole reason I got the stuff, mainly because my body had had too much caffeine and my adrenal glands were pretty wore out. Maca is a Whole Foods that is also adaptogenic meaning that it affects your hormones and adapt to what is lacking in your body. It does give you a boost of energy especially the first couple weeks of taking it. After the initial couple weeks The feeling wore off but I do have more energy throughout the day, don't get sleepy after lunchtime and as a whole I feel much better. I typically do 10 g a day which is 2 teaspoons and I mix it up with water and drink it straight in the morning on an empty stomach so it can fully absorb. I would start out with maybe 3 or 5 g because if you're not sensitive to stimulants then it could be strong. I've been taking it for about four months and I do not plan to stop, especially with this brand! It was pretty fair priced and it delivered what it promised! Good job Anthony, 3whoever you are!

MACA IS NOT GREAT TASTING, ALTHOUGH THIS ONE IS BETTER THAN OTHER ONE I TRIED. I LIKE TO ADD IT TO MY COFFEE, IT HAS SIMILAR TASTE QUALITIES BUT I LIKE SWEET CREAM ADDED TO MY COFFEE, SO I DON'T KNOW HOW WELL IT WOULD TASTE IF YOU DON'T ADD SUGAR. IT MIGHT BE SOMEWHAT BITTER. AS FAR AS BENEFITS, IT GIVES ME A ENERGY BOOST EVERY TIME I USE IT AND IF YOUR A MAN ESPECIALLY IN YOUR 50'S AND OLDER. I AM AGE 59. IT WILL BOOST YOUR LIBIDO. IT MAKES THE FEELING OF SEX MUCH MORE INTENSE. WHENEVER I STOP TAKING AND THEN START AGAIN I NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. I WILL CONTINUE USING THIS PRODUCT.

This stuff doesn't taste great, and it doesn't mix well with water.I don't know what the proper mix case is for it to taste well, but I haven't found it.It's supposed to help with testosterone and strength. I'm not sure. I didn't track my strength during the time I was taking this so it's hard to tell. I think a person needs to do their own research. But if you're looking into supplements in general, just get an all purpose multivitamin - there's very very little risk and high potential upside on that.If you want do research a bit more into things, ashwaghanda is promoted to have very similar benefits and has a bit more scientific research into it.But bottom line is that if you want to get 80%-95% of the benefits of high T and building muscle... The big rocks are getting enough sleep (#1 priority for anyone anywhere), eating relatively balanced diet, and reducing stress.
