Martin Walker Bruno, Chief of Police Dordogne Mysteries Series 10 Books Collection Set (Dark Vineyard, Fatal Pursuit, The Resistance Man, Death Undercover, The Devil's Cave & MORE!)

A great set of stories, setting the scene of friendly, idealic country life in rural France; offset by brutal murders and various levels of politics. I had read most of them a while ago, but this gave me the chance to read them again, in order. This greatly helps with following the story lines that span several books.

What makes these crime novels different from the rest is that they incorporate historical fact and weave it into the story. And the food and wine, of course.

Spoiled by the author’s endless peddling of right wing, pro drunk driving, xenophobic tropes. Such a shame.

Great books. Gentle but interesting crimes & up to date ideas. Very well written.

Despite having a Kindle I still prefer to handle a book. These can transport one to rural,France.

having read the first book this seemed like a good value set BUT they did not say the print is tiny!!!!not great for old eyes reading in bed at night, would not have bought if this had been mentioned
