I recently purchased this SoloWilder Fire Pit Mat to use in our hot tent under a titanium wood stove, and after the first test run, I’m really impressed with how well it worked. It held up perfectly, providing exactly the protection I was looking for, and it’s definitely one of my top purchases for outdoor gear.The mat is made of fiberglass material with an insulating coating, and you can tell it’s designed to handle high temperatures. We used it under the stove, and it protected the tent floor from any burns or heat damage. At 20” x 20”, it’s a great size for fitting under a small wood stove or fire pit, and I love how lightweight and portable it is. It folds up easily and can be stored in a bag for easy transport, which is great when you’re on the go.One of the best features is the ability to secure the mat with ground nails. It has holes on the edges, so you can stake it down if you’re outside in windy conditions, ensuring it doesn’t blow away. It’s also easy to clean—just a quick rinse with a hose or a wipe down with a towel, and it’s ready to use again.While it’s not meant to have a direct fire or heat source placed right on top of it, the mat does an excellent job at protecting surfaces from sparks, burning wood fragments, or heat radiating from the stove. Works as intended.

Will test this fireproof "tarp"when my tent stove arrives(soon) Will try it out on first burn("season") for the tent stove.Looks to be intacted material(no holes in mine), tent stove will fit on it,I don't know how this is going to work,but will trust it does.Will set all outside on cement blocks,then the "fireproof tarp",the assemble the tent stove,light and let it burn for about 6 hrs to burn off "chemicals"the stove and pipes.May burn it a full day before taking inside.Was shipped fast,comes with its own storage bag.

It’s great. Fire resistant. Size is perfect for the price.

Nice and thick. Good quality construction. Much better than the $6 fiberglass sheet it is replacing which could barely handle any resistance without tearing and cutting.

Item arrived promptly and as described. Haven’t used yet but looks well made and is large enough to add a layer of safety around the fire pit.

If a hot ember falls on this mat it won’t burn, but if you have it on a vinyl tent floor the embers will still burn holes through the vinyl. There is no insulation underneath, so I would recommend putting it on a flame retardant material between this mat and the tent floor.
