Better to have and not know you need it than to need it and wish you had it.
I give this product a 5 star rating because I have been using it and I havent needed to take the DEF injector off for cleaning since using it. The reason I needed to discover this product ASAP last summer is because while towing my RV and driving through Ohio on a sunday, my light came on in my car telling me to find dealership to check the def injector. Being new to diesels I had no idea what that meant and we had about 400 miles to go that day to get to our pitstop for the night. So as my truck is counting down the miles as to when it will go into limp mode, I had puled into a truck stop and went under the truck and located the thing that the internet told me was the def injector and pulled it out with a socket wrench all the meanwhile just getting burned like crazy because I did not have time to wait to get this truck back on the road. I poked a hole in my water bottle to acually get all the dried def fluid off of the injector and then I screwed it back into place and started driving and the light didnt go off in the truck and it continued to count down the miles. While I was successfully able to reset the code after another 50 miles or so, this whole ordeal ended up costing my trip about 3 hours and if we needed a place for the night then it woudve costed much more. Not only that but if I had to go to a dealership and get it serviced the whole vacation would have been ruined as our days were fully accounted for. Needless to say I wish I had this product sooner even though I am not 100% certain that it will always prevent this stuff from clogging.

DEF system maintenance
Does it work? I don't know. I believe the product is good. I don't have DEF system issues on a LZO duramax or a 21' Cummins diesel. Maybe this product is why I never have an issue. This should help prevent crystals building up from DEF. Preventative maintenance is important and this is it's intended use. I will continue to use it.

Used after the initial DEF product, this one seems to have things working well
I used their initial product in DEF tank since I had been geting P20EE codes regularly. I could see crystalization around pour tube, cap, etc. I put it in, then I got the dreaded Poor DEF Quality message and P20EE code again. Then it went away. A few miles later, back again. Then after a few days. maybe 75-80 miles, no more codes.Took a long trip of 650 miles, plus local driving, code and DEF message have never appeared again. Seems to do the trick. I also add in this Rislone maintenance DEF fluid product. Seems to all be working as intended.

Be aware.
Added to full tank, drove about 500 miles all seemed normal. Then notice the DEF gauge went from about 1/2 to 3/4 full... stayed that way for a while. Then received notice of 589 miles left, but was showing 3/4 full (not enough miles compared to the amount in tank), about 50 miles later all of a sudden received dash notice DEF is empty!! Looked at gauge - 0 DEF. About 20 miles later DEF gauge went back to 1/2. Made it to fuel stop... took about 2.5 gallons.. which is normal at 1/2 tank. Very stressful drive. Not sure if this was working or screwing things up. Hopefully no perm damage. Will not use again.....
