James Herriot's 5 Book Set: All Creatures Great and Small / All Things Bright and Beautiful / All Th

I, first, became interested in this series through watching the televised PBS series All Creatures Great and Small...it's excellent! Became intrigued with the characters and the stories surrounding their daily lives as veterinarians, etc. and looked into the book series. I'm only in book one and am hooked! The book is always different and more detailed and the movie industry takes a lot of liberties in the retelling of true stories. Yet, the PBS series has helped me imagine what the main characters (real people) must have been like. : ) The book(s) is such an easy read. I not only read at home but take the book with me when I know that I may be sitting for awhile waiting for someone or at the doctor's office. So glad that I got the books and will pass them on to my daughter. She loves animals. I'm not much of an animal lover yet have been so captivated by Mr. Herriot's memoirs...which make me laugh and bring tears to my eyes as well. It's not only a story about animals but about people, too. Such a good read!

Timeless collection, reading with my 9year old

Books looks exactly as the image, they were rubber-banded together and arrived in perfect condition. Started the first book and James Herriot is a wonderful writer, very heartwarming and fun read.

These books are hysterically funny. Constantly laughing out loud. Difficult to read aloud to someone else because some sentences are long and you could run out of breath. Loved them.

I love this set of books. I am gifting them to my niece to read aloud to her children. What phenomenal stories James Herriot shares with readers.

I love reading the amazing adventures of James Herriot. I love his warmth and how much he loves his work and animals and his family.

Books came promptly and were appropriately packaged. I had read the first four books in this series decades ago, and never realized a fifth installment had been written to complete the series. I'm excited to read them all over again and see what adventures the fifth book holds. James Herriott's writing has always taken me right into the moment to share his joys, frustrations, sorrows and surprises as a country veterinarian in rural Yorkshire. I find myself laughing out loud at his stories, just as I did when I first read the books years ago.
