Works perfectly with my MacBook Air
As many of us Federal employees are now teleworking from home, I found myself needing to access my work email daily from my Mac. Unfortunately, my government furnished CAC reader died recently, so I was thankfully able to find this very affordable reader. It comes with a disk for the drivers. But if your computer doesn’t read disks, no problem. Go to the website, type in the model number in the search box and you will load the drivers in no time. My Mac recognized this reader immediately, so that was a relief as well. The other challenge was to load certificates onto my Mac keychain and “trust” them so I could access the sites I needed to. Although this information is not available through Zoweetek, the related official government website can provide this information when you need it. Overall, a great buy and a lifesaver for me. Recommended. Stay safe everyone.

It's literally a plug & play product!
I am a DoD civilian employee who after 17yrs of working for the federal govt decided to purchase a CAC reader in order to interface with a CAC employee enrichment program. After purchasing it and using it at home with the ability to now access my work Email as well as the GRB site - I was like why I did ever discount using this product in the past! Invaluable asset!

Make sure you know what you are getting, ask or talk with your IT Security Manager at the Command prior to use. Check your connections that you are purchasing the correct unit.......

Works half the time.
I really want to like this unit, it sits nice on the desk and easy to drop in the smart card and see the activity. unfortunately it appears to work half the time. Meaning it fails to read the card and the application must restart and try again. I did not have this issue with my other card reader (IOGear).
