Quality earbuds with great detailed sound
With a bit of looking into these earbuds, it's not hard to find that there are common issues people have with them/Sennheiser earbuds. Only been using them for a few days so far but glad to say that I've not experience any of the issues some others have had (we will see in future, although it seems Sennheiser's warranty is quite good if something does go wrong). The earbuds themselves are quality, feel premium and are well built (and the case). 4 sizes of silicon eartips and fins are included (one of the fins is just a ring in case you don't like fins) so the fit is customisable and the earbuds are very comfortable. No issues wearing for a long period of time. Touch controls are very responsive and give a bit of haptic feedback after each touch. They are also customisable in the Sennheiser app (really good app, recommended to download) Stock sound is great with really nice clarity and detail in my opinion. I usually switch between the default sound and my personalised sound made using the app. The personalised sound option is implemented really well and the earbuds are responsive to the changes - the sound is actually noticeably different after adjustments. Would recommend to give it a go. Transparency mode works great and sounds quite natural I think. I personally don't really use ANC a lot so can't comment much but have used it a few times and it seemed to do a decent job of reducing noise (especially wind). Battery life is also really good. Can't comment on mic quality as haven't used it for calls yet.

Sennheiser have cracked it.
Sennheiser have finally cracked it. They are no strangers to sound and their over the head cans are some of the best in the business and they have now transferred that to their buds. I have owned them all, Samsung buds, Pixel buds, airpods, B&W, LG tones, Sony XM5 and loads of others and I know exactly what I want from a bud and these are the closest to perfection yet. The closest have been Sony XM5 and it's very close between them but I think I prefer the Senns controls. But these two are streets ahead of the competition. Firstly, the sound, the most important aspect. It delivers this in spades with full detail and perfect balance. Only the XM5 has had superior sound in my view and only just. The controls are what really sets this apart. It is so easy to change songs and to adjust volume. A nice double tap for next tune and keep finger on bud to adjust volume up and down. Why did the Samsung buds 3 pro make it so complicated and have that squeeze to go to next track? It's so inconvenient. Again only XM5 comes close to controls. The app is good. Very simple and easy to change to adaptive anc. Again the XM5 has superior AMC but these are very good too. The only downside actually and it's not even a big downside is the chunky case. It's a beautiful case but slightly on the large side. But it's ok not a big deal. Oh and the fit of the buds, these fit perfectly first time. No need to tweak or adjust and the buds themselves are lovely to look at. Again slightly bigger than the Samsung or even xm5 but similar in size to the pixel. Overall, these are near perfect buds. Excellent sound, excellent connectivity. Bluetooth connection works better on these than any I've tried. Never had a drop out yet. Thoroughly recommend these (although a very close fight with the equally spectacular Sony XM5).

Garbage - Even Sennheiser said so
I am a huge fan of Sennheiser which have been my go to headphone product for many years. Sound quality is reasonable for music (although quite flat) but very poor for phone calls, which Sennheiser say they are fixing in a firmware update, which they have been saying for ages. Noise cancelling is ok but not as good as Bose. The real issue is the Bluetooth pairing to iPhone (can't comment on other handsets). Its on and off, won't pair, says its paired but won't play music, powers itself off and none of the online tips to turn off functionality have made any difference. I am regularly re-pairing and resetting to factory settings just to get anything out of them which is super frustrating (hence the bad review after 3 months of ownership). Also the fit isn't great (tried different size tips) so they feel like they could fall out any time and have on the odd occasion. I have to push and twist them in regularly which then touches a button so they stop, pause etc. Not great user experience. Asking for my money back.

Great earphones, poor quality control.
Great earphones with a fantastic sound. Ear buds will occasionally cut out for half a second around every 60 minutes of listening. Doesn't affect quality or performance but can be quite distracting. Would think a pair of £200 earphones would have bugs like this ironed out before shipping, but the quality really is great otherwise so can't complain much.

Superb Sound in a Tiny, Well Built Form Factor
These are superb. The noise cancelling is excellent. There is excellent bass reproduction from these headphones. They are easy (and light) to carry. They are also descrete in your ears. I use them with my iPhone and my iPad. Because these buds support aptX you can watch video without lipsynch issues (3 seasons of Reacher was the test!!!). There is an app from Sennheiser but I used it once to "set up' the headphones. These buds have a battery management feature that is like that on the iPhone (it charges to 80% to maximise the overall life of the battery). I like the idea but could not comment yet. I have a pair of Sennheiser PXC 550s (Over ear) that were bought for air travel. These TW make them redudant. The TW's form factor means I will not use over/on ear headphones on an aircraft again. And the sound is on a par with the bigger headphones. These are great value for money. They are well made and give you c.7hours on a full charge. Personally I like these a lot. I can have a high quality audio experience whenever I go out (because of their size)! Recommended. PS I have a lot of Sennheiser equipment (mainly headphones). I have not had a bad experience with Sennheiser. They are an excellent brand.

Good earbuds, BUT.....
I'm not a serious headphones/earbuds afficionado, but I do research for major purchases. These came out as one of the better units at the time, and Sennheiser is obviously seen as a decent brand. So... They do seem well made, and the sound is pretty good. I've had no pairing issues (at least initially) across multiple devices. Altogether, pretty good. But. Bad points. As with many bluetooth devices, they tend to have range issues. My personal PC is a couple metres away from where I sit, and the earbuds regularly have sound issues until I turn my head toward the PC. Not a big issue in the main though. The screeching noise I get from the earbuds I get in my ear so often however, IS an issue. Imagine a high pitched tinny screech that's disproportionately loud compared to the set volume, every so often. Even more of an issue is the frustrating experience with charging the buds in the case. There is zero chance to tell they are actually charging unless you stop, run the Sennheiser app, and wait a few minutes to confirm the battery is actually going up on that bud. The numbers of times I have picked them up for use only to find one or both of the buds is at 10% charge, having not charged. I tend to squish them around in the case (gently) which seems to have more success, but I shouldn't need to do this. When you are losing the better part of £200 for a set of earbuds, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect better quality than a pair of £5 earbuds off of Temu. In summary. Yes they are a good pair of earbuds, but they are severely let down by feeling unfinished.

Fantastic Sound
After a lot of research looking for my next pair of earbuds, I decided to purchase the Sennheisers. I did previously use the original Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds. Straight from out of the box these are fantastic. The sound is very neutral to start with with the bass being a bit flat. However once the app is downloaded you can edit the sound to your preference. Take the time to do this as this is where the earbuds come alive. I can hear symphonies and instruments in the background that I haven't heard before and being able to give the bass a punch but not so much that it reverberates. I feel like I'm in the studio when listening to my music and I feel at one with the music. I can hear the bass lows, mids and highs. I can hear the different layers of music. The vocals are crisp. Just absolute amazing. The active noise cancelling is decent for blocking out unwanted sounds, but also I like the Transparency mode for when I'm out and about and need to be aware of my surroundings. The setup is really easy. Connectivity was quick with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The earbuds come with different wings and plugs for the correct fit. Again take the time to get the right fit as they can be uncomfortable if the fit isn't right for you. The app also has a fit test to tell you if you have a good fit. I would highly recommend. The price tag reflects the quality. I'm extremely impressed. The earbuds also don't have to be at maximum volume to feel the music. I play mine on 60-65 per cent volume and the qualitynof sound is excellent. They are stylish as well and have the look of a premium product. The carry case on the images looks large, however it is not as large as the images make out. It comfortably fits in the palm of my hand. Can't fault them. I hope this helps as it's hard to buy earbuds without being able to test first, hence why I purchased off Amazon as a lot of stores do not allow returns once the seal is broken. However, these are 100 per cent a keeper!

11 Months of Use - DO NOT BUY!!!
I like my headphones, and own, and have owned MANY pairs. From cheap £20 devices, up to £500. Over the years I've built up a pretty positive impression of Sennheiser, with several really good (not perfect) products. They've often delivered some fantastic audio quality to price ratio. So, when I heard Sennheiser also made buds, I knew my next pair needed to be from them. Up until recently, I would have wrote a glowing review. Their sound quality was great, they were comfortable, the battery life was fine (not GREAT, but above a lot of cheaper models), they stayed in my ears, and they look pretty good. Their app also DOES NOT require an account, which is absolutely fantastic. No/little functionality is lost if you don't sign-in/up with them, which I love. I don't need to worry about Sennheiser leaking, or having my data stolen, which is something I cannot praise enough. I also found their ANC, while not perfect, was quite good. With transparency working flawlessly. It didn't have some nice transparency effects, like what you'd find on Airpods (eg: tone down harsher/louder sounds, but still making their bearable), but it was more than good enough. I only really had had two complaints. The first was their Wind Cancellation, while worked well, did NOT work during the Transparency mode. Walking around, trying to hear traffic, with the sound of wind, making these FAR worse than if I just took them out. You also need to toggle it on, via the app, which (again) is disappointing. These buds also sport touch controls, which I find annoying. 8/10, the touch controls work really well, but it has a habit of failing, when it's really needed. That brings us to now, and why I'm rating TWO stars, and not a THREE, or a FOUR, which I think they mostly deserve. I'm knocking it down because these are just defective. Now 11 months since purchase, they no longer charge. The right earbud also seems to have connectivity problems. They worked absolutely flawlessly, until now. After doing some research, this is a common issue with Sennheiser earbuds, that they've refused to acknowledge, and fix. Ever since their True Wireless 1 buds, the charging issue has plagued every single pair, with the right earbud seemingly the worst. Don't buy Sennheiser buds. While they might make some great cans, their buds are not worth it.
