The tank I received is built very poorly; the tank is not square so the top doesn't quite fit right. There is also an issue with the way the filter chamber was constructed because when I was filling the tank with water, the chamber that holds the circulation pump didn't fill with water completely until the water reached the top slots on the wall of the filter chamber. Keep in mind that there are also slots for the water to flow through down lower on the wall but the walls inside the filter chamber are constructed in such a way that the water can't flow through to get into the chamber with the pump, until the water reaches the top slots; and then the water just flows over the top of the glass dividers and also over the top of the filter cartridges so there is effectively no filtration taking place.Whoever designed this filter chamber for this tank did not have a clue about how Filters are supposed to work. This tank is going back.

Quiet and efficient filtration! My fish love it!
I love this aguarium! Quiet, the filter works great, my small neon tetras, zebra danios, angel fish, pink tetra and cat fish are happy and only 72 hours. I had checked out the reviews before purchasing so expected to need a better pump but so far so good. The light is amazing! Love the rounded glass corners. My only disappointment is I bought the tank for my beautiful blue beta but the filter is working so good he is either being buffeted around the tank or sucked into filtration system! I would highly recommend for other fish! I have not had an aguariam for 40 years and amazing improvements in filtration and pump noise! My fish and I are very happy!

A Great little first time tank with hidden filtration area!!!
The media could not be loaded. Update: 02/08/19We have moved our fish to a new 10 gallon take as this one was getting to small and the Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami did not have enough space for his territory and was causing issues with the guppies.Innovative Marine nuvo Blackhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ES3WO7Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Update: 06/06/18After looking at all our options and that we wanted a better flowing pump we decided on the Finnex canister pump. We have the intake and output flow tubs going in the back middle section in the filtration area along with the heater. One on either side of the LED light attachment. Once the new bio beads in the canister have cycled we will remove the original filtration and bio matter which will allow for even better flow to the intake. The tank looked clear before, but now it is really crystal clear after just the first two days or filtration. The better flow pushes the water and waste to the back section more. We used the tanks outlet and some of the rubber tubing that came with the filter to snake our way from the output pipe to the exhaust nozzle inside the tank. Let me know and i can provide some pictures of the this and the filtration area if anyone is interested.3 weeks ago we added (2) fantail guppies and (2) ghost shrimp. They all get along great! Two weeks ago we added live moss you can see in the new picture. The shrimp love graze on it. It started growing a lot more this week. We added (2) snails last week as the algae had just started and they have made quick work of cleaning it up.Luffy Coco Mini Mosshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014888WSG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Finnex PX-360 Compact Canister Aquarium Filterhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VFF8U4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1We purchased this tank for our 12-year old for his birthday. We looked at a lot of tanks and purchased this for its curved glass and hidden filtration. We were not worried about he non-available replacement filters as you can make your own with socks and floss. You never replace the bio bead one and I like that its has its own trough in the back. The tank water flows into the back on both sides (top and bottom). It then flows up and over then down thru porous sponges (both sides) which i like then back down again to the next section (left side has the bio beads and the right side had the charcoal and floss filter. It then flows into the middle section which houses the pump which we have set on the low setting and have no issue with the flow rate and its very quite. We have also placed the heater in this middle section as well so it is not inside the tank area. We cycled the tank for a week and introduced "Hobbs" a Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami. We will let him settle for a week and then plan to add a couple of guppies, some ghost shrimp and snails once the algae starts. Our initial score is 4 out of 5 stars we will try and update later as we progress with the life of the tank and add additional inhabitants. Tank is great an attractive
Tank is great an attractive. Pump is a bit weak. The real problem is finding replacement filters. The D replacement filters do not exist and cannot even find them on a Petco site. So after one month ...... good luck.

Can be improved to a great nano tank
I purchased this aquarium in March 2018 after watching videos on You Tube showing the imagitarium 3.7 gallon tank being set up as a planted aquarium. Then I noticed that they were building a larger version so I ordered it instead for $44.79 (I see that the price has been raised since then). After setting it up and cycling the tank for a month, I wrote a 5 star review of my new tank. I then purchased 3 platys to complete the nitrogen cycle. This is when things became apparent that I wasn't going to be as thrilled with the back filter compartment design as I thought. One of the platys gave birth to a bunch of fry which were sucked into the back filter and were very difficult to remove so I had to tear down the tank to remove them. I also had been experiencing stagnant water in the compartment and since it takes up so much fish swimming space I decided to remove it. I very carefully cut the plastic vertically through the return hole into halves with a dremel tool and then using single edge razor blades very carefully removed the plastic and glass pieces to get the whole thing removed without damaging the integrity of tank (about a 2 hour process). I then removed my review. I set up the tank again using a sponge filter which was easy to maintain and keeps the tank clean, clear and beautiful. The plants and fish are thriving. The water tests perfectly (I do 1.5 gallon water changes weekly). In conclusion, I think imagitarium should have built the tank without the back compartment and just added the light and top in the kit and let the buyer use whatever filtration preferred. They would have a real winner.
