A Lifesaver for DIY Suspension Work – Great Value and Solid Build
I bought the Orion Motor Tech Inner Tie Rod Removal Tool Kit to replace the inner tie rods on my Honda Accord, and I’m glad I did. This kit made the job WAY easier and saved me a trip to the shop. What I Liked: ✅ Wide Compatibility:The 12 crowfoot adapters included in the kit cover a huge range of vehicles. I’ve used it on both domestic and import models, and it’s worked flawlessly every time. The size range (1-3/16” to 1-5/16") is perfect for most common inner tie rods. ✅ Sturdy Construction:The tool itself feels solid and well-made. The steel tube is heavy-duty, and the crowfoot adapters lock into place with no wobble or slop. I torqued on it pretty hard and never felt like it was going to fail.✅ Easy to Use:Just slip the correct adapter onto the tie rod, slide the tube over it, and use a 1/2” ratchet or breaker bar. That’s it. No need to fight with a pipe wrench or try to rig something up with pliers. It makes what can be a frustrating job surprisingly straightforward. ✅ Compact and Organized:It comes in a nice blow-molded case that keeps everything organized. Easy to toss in your toolbox or bring on the road if you’re doing mobile repairs. What Could Be Better: ➖ The case latches feel a little cheap—nothing major, but something to be aware of.➖ Instructions are basic. Not a big deal if you’ve done this kind of work before, but beginners might want to watch a quick YouTube video first. Final Verdict:If you’re planning to do tie rod work—even just once—this tool pays for itself. It saves time, prevents damage, and makes the job a lot less frustrating. For the price, quality, and functionality, it’s an excellent addition to any DIY mechanic’s tool arsenal.

May not work on all inner tie rods
This tool seems like a quality product and I’m sure works fine, it just didn’t work on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. The inner diameter of the tool is to narrow for the inner tie rod on the 07 Honda Odyssey. Not sure if all Honda’s tie rods are the same diameter. I wish they would list the dimensions of the tool on the listing so you would have an idea if it will work on your particular vehicle. I ended up buying a version of this tool from Harbor Freight which worked on my Honda. I gave it 5 stars because it looked like it’s made fairly well and will get the job done but I really don’t know without being able to use it. My Odyssey has 205000 miles and inner tie rods were not that hard to get off so I’m sure this tool is more than capable.

Great product
Any mechanic item is for my father and there is no complaint so far so I guess it’s good! I’ll ask him for a video or photo so I can show you guys.

Wish I read the reviews before ordering
This doesn’t fit over the knuckle to be able to use it. Poor design. Wish I read the reviews because this seems like the common problem. What a waste of time. Just get one of the universal tie rod removal tools that looks like a D ring. Cheaper and you know it will fit

Worked as described
Worked great, but outer lock ring fell off on first use, got the job done, design change needed on front outer ring for a better product. Great for the price and saved a lot of headache.

Worked Great! A+
Purchased for use on a Nissan Sentra. Fit perfectly. Also fits Kizashi rack ends great as it should! I imagine it will work with most vehicles. Tool is easy to use and straightforward. Finish is decent. I walked a 12 year old through the process of using it with an impact and breaker bar so usability is there. The built quality is adequate for the job the tool preforms. Good value and functional tool. Saves you money the first time you use it and makes inner tie rods FAST & EASY, so if you work on your own car I'd definitely recommend picking this one up.

Only for small knuckle inner tie rods
First the bad:* The cup that holds the crow-feet adapters is very shallow. That means that inner tie rods of vehicles larger than small will not seat far enough in for the crow-feet adapter to fit to the driver. See the picture above. Therefore, after you balance the adapter on the tie-rod and then slip on the driver, the cup will not reach the adapter - an that is not even considering the 3/8 slot and lock slots in the cup.The good:* good materials and well built* nice locking mechanism to hold the adapters in place* Some comments say that the driver tube is too small to accept the inner tie rod shaft. The inner diameter of the drive shaft is about 39mm - which means a shaft of about 1.5 inches will fit. Other than large trucks, I don't think this will be an issue for any DIY.Summary: a well built tool that for most vehicles will not work. I returned the tool unused.
