Great design and very secure
I bought this suitcase because it did not depend on a zipper closure to keep the two halves closed. This one is much more secure and no issue of a zipper jamming sooner or later. I love the way the interior is designed--it has a zippered fabric on each side that completely encloses that compartment. When I lift one side to close it, nothing falls out or shifts around to complicate the closing. It is very lightweight for its size. It completely utilizes the 62" linear measurement that airlines allow. I'm not sure that silver is a good choice of color. It got marked up on the first trip.

Not bad at all.
I bought this most excellent Samsonite suitcase so that I wouldn’t have to lug around a gigantic one. In this role it serves admirably. It’s lightweight, strong for its size, has nicely divided internal compartments and has a real easy locking system. It’s easy to wheel around too, as it has 4 wheels. It’s scratch resistant and if you use packing cubes you can make it work for a week on the road. I normally use one compartment for clothes, and the other for shoes, hygiene kit, belt buckles, and such. It allows me to segment clean from dirty, too. I’m a fan. You should buy one. You’ll be happy that you did.My only gripe is that it doesn’t have airplane wings, control surfaces and two engines, which is a real advantage when you’re dealing with the clown show that is the modern airport experience. It would be nice if Samsonite introduced this as a feature in the next version. This way you can just fly out of your house instead of dealing with the circus.

Good size and survived international trip
Always looking for clamshell checked luggage as they are more difficult to get into and offer better protection against liquids. Bought Delseys for a long time because of the quality but can't find the clamshells anymore. This Samsonite is not the usual unlined clamshell they make, which had seemed cheap to me. This is a bigger size and love the color. It survived going through international trip 3 times; despite my worry about the little hooks holding down for closure (we always use TSA locking luggage straps on checked). Worked well and look forward to more uses.

No zippers to break!
Finding zipperless luggage isn’t easy. I have an old Samsonite zipperless spinner that is 7 years old and needs retirement after hundreds of trips. This new case has an ingenious internal lock system. No zippers to break! It rolls nicely on any surface and keeps my clothing dry after sitting on the tarmac in a rainstorm. A failing that zipper luggage has, In that water can seep into the bag through the zippers.I just went 8000 miles with this bag, and only see a small scuff from all the handling in the last 2 weeks. This is a huge suitcase and only weighs 11.5 pounds. It’s hard to find this type of luggage in the USA, and if you do find it, a large zipperless bag is over $400. This was a bargain at half that price, and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use from it, like I did the previous piece of zipperless luggage.

Strong, sturdy and thwarts theft!
I bought the large suitcase for a Trip to SE Asia. I was a bit skeptical when I received it because the frame looks plastic to me. I have other zipperless suitcases and they all have a metal frame enclosure. But I must say this survived the 15 day trip to two different countries! This suitcase is great because it is deeper than your typical hard case. I did a lot shopping on my trip and it was perfect with plenty try of room to shop my gifts back home in. I would recommend this if you are traveling overseas. I highly recommend zipperless to reduce theft of your belongings. It’s too easy to puncture a Ippwr with a ballpoint pen and access your stuff then zip it back up as if nothing happened. Trust me. Zipperless is the way to go even with a carry-on. I received a warning from Japan Aii es about thefts in the cabin from organized gangs who take long haul flights and steal items from the overhead bins when everyone is asleep. Better to be smart and safe while traveling! All of my luggage is now zipperless.

Great luggage
I am really liking this luggage. I love not have to use a zipper. It holds a ton of stuff and opens and closes nice and easy. As heavy as I pack it, it stays closed with no problems. The handle releases and reinserts as smooth as silk and it rolls beautifully. There is no wobble when you open it up, it’s nice and firm feeling and shuts with no issues. The handles on top and sides for option of carrying are nice as well. Hoping that this will last longer than the zipper style luggage, which always seems to fail after about a year. You know, where it gets to the point that the zipper starts to separate and your things start falling out? I’d buy again. Samsonite has gained another customer.

Needed a Carry-On
I really needed a quality carry-on piece. I'm accustomed to checking a larger bag and overpacking. My last few trips didn't allow for waiting at baggage claim so I started hunting for a hard shell bag. This is a tremendous value; not cheap ($175), but fair compared to many others. High quality construction and wheels flow so well. I'm very happy with this bag and highly recommend.

Cheap plastic frame and hinge
I can’t even give this luggage a 1 star. Very cheap plastic frame and hinge. With 50 lbs loaded the locking mechanism can barely close and even pos open. Samsonite has lowered the the quality of the framelock for some reason. My old aluminum framelock is far superior to this new design. Returning immediately in fear of cracking the case at the airport.
