You don't always need it but it's good to have something like this around the house when you do. The locking extended poles work great. You may need an 8 to 12 foot ladder but when fully extended I was able to reach the gutters on the 2nd floor. This is something that I would buy again. But than again it's something I may not use very often and will probably have it for many years to come.

I live in an old single wide trailer. I needed this to be able to kool seal the roof. (Essentially paint it.) With this extension I can stand on the ground and reach the peak so it eliminates the need for a ladder. The construction is sturdy and simple. More than satisfied.

This is a nice pole. The thumb releases are so much easier and effective than those twist-to-lock poles. Has a good rugged feel, and has nice foam hand grips. I think I should’ve gotten the longer one, so I will likely order another.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but it does feel fairly stable. It's not too heavy either. The only thing I see as a possible issue is the latches do not appear to be adjustable for tension after some use. Will this be an issue down the road? Time will tell.

Good quality paint rod extender. The handle is very comfortable to hold

So far it is working better than I anticipated. Easy locking mechanisms and hand grips were surprisingly comfortable. Tomorrow is day 3.
