WEN Pocket Marking Edge Ruler (ME899R)

This is a great edge ruler, super precise and, as with all Wen tools, an excellent value. This is quite practical given the small size. Personally, I find it much easier to read than the red or blue rulers I have.Give it a try, it won't disappoint or break the bank.

Useful for marking edges and such. It's small enough to fit in a pocket but it's an odd shape so it's not really comfortable to keep IN any of my pockets. ;) But the utility is good, accuracy is more than adequate and the price makes it a good add to your marking tool collection.

This is a handy pocket tool to wrap lines over the edge of a board or for small segments on the board surface. The pencil holes make it easy to draw a line parallel to the board edge with measuring, aligning and drawing the line between two points. Just put the pencil point in the hole matching the distance from the edge you want your line to be and slide it along the board. It's not a world changing thing but it's so easy I use it all the time now.

Picked up the WEN Pocket Marking Edge Ruler and was honestly surprised by how well it’s made for the price. The ruler looks sharp, has a smooth anodized finish, and the markings are crisp and easy to read. It feels solid in the hand and has just enough weight that it doesn’t feel flimsy. The size is really convenient for quick marking jobs or carrying around in your pocket or tool bag.What impressed me most was the accuracy. WEN measuring tools are generally within 0.05 mm, which is better than I expected for something in this price range, and typically more than enough for most woodworking. The edge hugs the workpiece well and the holes make it easy to mark perfectly straight lines. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. WEN’s measuring tools seem to hold up pretty well, and this one is no exception - great value if you want something reliable that just works.

Looks like it’s really good build quality but I was shocked at how small it is. I guess I just didn’t look at the picture and studied it well enough. But the ruler part is only 2 inches long so it’s really designed for a small piece work.
