Using for therapy great tool

As you can see from the photos I'm sharing, the English isn't what it should be on these:Bock-Bock, a chicken clucks. Cackling is something else.CAW-CAW, a crow sings. While crows are vociferous, we wouldn't call it a scream.Gobble-Gobble, a turkey calls. Turkeys don't talk.Meow, a cat meows. Cats don't sing, they either purr or meow.That's what a native speaker would say. I cannot recommend this at all.

My daughter will hit 11 months old in the next few days, and I'm looking forward to when she says her first words (should be any day now!). As a result, I ordered this set of "Sound It Out" cards to help me teach her some basics of speech.This set of cards is incredibly charming and surprisingly well-made. I went through every card and didn't identify any spelling errors in the text, the graphics are incredibly charming, and I didn't notice any duplicates. These cards primarily teach onomatopoeia-type sounds to toddlers and small children - but there are a few simple words sprinkled in (examples: hi, bye-bye, nighty-night).The cards are quite high quality themselves. They have a nice glossy finish and should resist a little bit of grime or possibly a small spill. They are as thick as cards in a typical deck of cards. I do wish they were thicker - but only because I want to keep these for a long, long time and don't want them to get bent! I am hesitant to just hand these to a toddler for fear they would bend them - but this would be an incredibly thick deck if the cards were thicker than they are, as there are quite a few cards. They will still be great for showing my daughter and possibly handing them off to her if I determine she isn't going to damage them severely in the process.Overall, I love this deck of speech flash cards. They are incredibly well made, especially for the price. I can highly recommend them.
