The concept is good but poor quality the rotating sharpening stones are ver poor quality. Ended up using a hand file which did the job much faster and neater.

Little bit hard at the beginning to setup but after that all good. Regular sharpening reduces strain on the chainsaw motor and helps prevent accidents. I thought it was a waste of money, Difficult to use, and when I did get it working, sharpener hardly lasted to sharpen one chain. even after I had finished still not very sharp.Will now practice sharpening with a file. Will take practice, but will persevere.

I ordered this for my father who unfortunately found it really fiddly and awkward to use and when he eventually got it to work, it didn't really sharpen the saw blades very well. It's not something we could recommend sadly.

Yes it works, I have experience of all Types of saw teeth sharpening. Find the tooth most worn then count the even strokes to the last point showing no wear, ie say 3, 4 or 5 full strokes. This is important so All the teeth will cut & not the most protruding one/s.
