I bought a Bauerfeind Sports Back Support - Breathable Compression (Rivera, Medium) about a month ago. I am not disappointed - it is a really great product. I have minor pain in my lower back after sporting activities or jogging, so I decided to try this Back Support in order to ease the pain. I am 5'6" and 160 lbs so I got size M which fits perfectly and it is true to size. The Bauerfeind company also has a very good explanation how to measure and choose your size. I do not have any cons yet, but here are some pros: 1. Very easy to put on and adjust if it is misplaced. 2. Lightweight. When I get used to it, I do not feel it at all. 3. Provides a great support for my lower back. 3. Helps me keep right posture. 4. It flattens my lower belly :) 5. Almost not visible under clothes and makes me look a little bit slimmer :) 6. The most important thing to me - it helps with my lower back pain. Not sure how it works, probably because of little gel nubs massaging my lower back but it works as a pain reliever. I also feel some cooling effect. it is a good option that you can change the gel pad position, so it massages different trigger points of your lower back. I usually wear this Back Support during long walks, jogging or light sports exercises. Overall - it is a great product with AMAZING real German quality. And now, after I tried Bauerfeind Sports Back Support and experienced the benefits, I want also try their another product - knee support Bauerfeind GenuTrain Knee Support (Nature, 3) .I hope it will help because people left so many good reviews as well. Great product, great quality! I am very happy with this purchase!

These are the most comfortable and best support braces, but they always wear out where you fasten the belt. Eventually it'll keep popping open and you need to buy a new one. I go thru 4 belts per year, been buying these direct from Bauerfeind and on Amazon. I've been buying these for a few years

I am - or was - a runner until I developed back problems that were aggravated by the constant impact of my feet hitting the ground. (I’m a heel-striker.) Now I’m forced to walk, albeit at a decently fast pace (about 5.5 mph). Even so, I still experience occasional back pain, especially on “hill days.” When I saw the Bauerfeind Sports Back Brace, I thought it might be just the thing to alleviate the back discomfort. I read the good reviews and testimonials, and decided to give it a try. Once I received it, I wore it religiously every time I hit the trail. And how did it fare? Bottom line: For me, it just doesn’t work. I can tell absolutely no difference between wearing the brace and not, except I stay cooler and breathe better when I don’t wear it. It’s hot and, of course, constrictive (as it should be). There isn’t much to the brace, especially given its premium cost. It’s essentially a wide elastic mesh band with a small gel pad velcro-ed to it in the small of the back. There is no support worth mentioning and the purpose of the gel pad eludes me. After washing the brace, I wore it on a 5-mile walk, forgetting to attach the pad, and I didn’t even realize it until I returned home. That drove home how ineffective the brace truly is. And that’s also when I realized all the hype surrounding this product just might be a placebo effect. So what are you paying $100 for? Beats me. Similar light braces can be purchased at a fraction of the cost. The back brace I bought at a sporting goods store to use when doing back-intensive jobs around the yard provides much better support, and is more comfortable. If it actually works for you, that’s good. I’m glad. But it doesn’t work for me at all, and that has proven to be an expensive mistake.

I have been wearing this Sports Back Support for more than a month now, mostly during my workouts, dance practice, sometimes for long walks or long sitting, using it almost every day. This model is working very well. It is true to size, the closure is very comfortable and adjustable just right. I do enjoy the breathable texture of the material. You will still be sweating underneath but it doesn't feel as a seal on you. The gel cushion is fantastic, it massages your lower back softly and delicate without pushing, giving you just right feeling of comfort. The ability to move this cushion on the Back Support base and place it exactly where you need it gives you additional comfort and flexibility. The support is strong but still gives you a lot of movement freedom. The bright color is adding some fun factor and ability to wash the Back Support is very important too. When thinking about something to improve I would only mention that during very active movement like dancing the Back Support would still pull up a little and you would need to adjust it after a while. I have to admit that all models and brands of Back Supports I have tried would do the same and this particular model of Bauerfeind Sports Back Support still does the best job. Maybe women with curves do really need a "woman shape" of the Back Support that better adjusts to those curves and stays in place. I have compared a couple of different brands and models of such kind of Back Support since my lower back problems are hunting me for a while now. I can state that Bauerfeind Sports Back Support is the best for all kinds of active lifestyle among the models I have tried yet.

The item has arrived with a damaged and opened box, clearly was used. This is the third time I tried to order it as the last time I received an empty box with nothing inside. I will never order this item again.

I absolutely love this back support brace from Bauerfeind and shouldn’t need to thank them for making such a great product because they took my money in exchange but going to thank them anyways. I’ve been dealing with lower back pain for almost 10 years and it flares up off and on due to early onset of arthritis. I’m only 41 and fairly active with a job that requires heavy lifting. I use it for work, the gym and even when I play basketball. The back support this has provided me is worth every penny that I spent on this brace. I have used a McDavid before this and it helped but this is just overall a better product for the reasons I’m gonna list next. 1) The design is engineered to perfection for me. 2) The materials are top quality. 3) The fit is tight but it’s supposed to be. Maybe I should have gone one size bigger but maybe I should also lose a few pounds around the waste as well. I am 6’3” (190.5cm) with a 32 waste and ordered a medium and it’s a little tight but I prefer it that way. It is a little uncomfortable when sitting down though. Overall, I could not be happier with this back brace and am thankful for the pain relief that it gives me everyday.

For the past several weeks I have gotten out of bed and faced painful lower back muscle spasms. Stretching, using a pillow while I slept between my knees, adding a heating pad, taking Tylenol - nothing really seemed to help much. I strained a muscle putting out sandbags and mornings had become very difficult. Often within a hour or two, I'd feel OK, but it was a pattern I could not undo. I own a Bauerfeind Lumboloc and it helped, but that back brace is restrictive and hard to wear all day. Check the website and read reviews. Ended up buying the Sports Back Support. Within three days, I have been able to get up in the morning without the cramping pain. I started out wearing the brace immediately when I got up for about an hour, then took it off and then wore it again when I did any work. Each day, I wore it a bit less. Today I wore it when I rode my horse. I had no interference with the back support during gaits that required very active movements on my part. My back feels fine hours later. This brace is cool, supple and yet supportive in the lower back despite the impression the photo gives of the brace being more mid-back. Great purchase!
