It takes 30 minutes to soak the first time you use it, and about two hours to freeze it for use. I stuck it in a jumbo plastic ziplock and pulled it out when it was ready.The intense cooling faded somewhat after 30 minutes, but there was a noticeable difference between wearing it and not wearing it. I was outside for many hours, and it started to dry and lose effect. I just poured a bottle of water on it and put it back on.It's also comfortable and not entirely unattractive. I just wore a light button-up shirt over it, and you couldn't tell I was even wearing it. I wholeheartedly recommend this vest.

This vest sat in a freezer for at least 24 hours prior to first use. It was in the low 80s or in the 70s that night here in the PNW and I wore it for around 20 minutes and it was pretty much not cool. I really wanted this to work as I have anhidrosis (inability to sweat). I am going to look at it closer and see if it is missing whatever is supposed to be the cooling action. It is incredibly dysfunctional if it isn't missing the internal components.I noticed they do not have this product listed on their store front, so I assume the company knows this product is ineffective Their advertisement stating pro athletes use this, no way, I'm not buying it.

It workd well, but I am only giving 3 stars because the Velcro on the sides is flimsy and pulls apart too easily.

My husband pains cars for a living on top of living in NC, so between the heat in the shop and in this paint booth, he is exhausted within an hour. I had a friend tell me about this vest so I bought it. HE LOVES IT!! Says it has helped keep his temp down so much and now everyone in the shop wants one.

The 1st vest arrived on time but was incomplete as it only contained about 1/2 the packets imbedded into the vest and was very poorly filled when it was prepared for the freezer. With less than half it's cooling capabilities, the vest underperformed during a midsummer 13 mile race with temperatures in the mid 80's and relative humidity's near 72%. The vest was very disappointing. Company sent a new vest and it seems most of the chemical pockets are filled and reacted with the water. I only gave it a 2star for the reason their quality control is lacking and this should have been checked before being sent out especially since this is a higher-end vest due to the cost.

I work outdoors in Nevada and am having a hard time with the heat so I purchased this in an attempt to help. It is much more high end looking than others I’ve seen. It works well for around 45 minutes to an hour, but after that it looses its cooling effect. If you’re aware of the short cool-life and willing to get some relief for less than an hour, it works great!

One size does not fit all. It is very hard to find products small enough to me. I ordered the small and it fits great and keeps me cool for hours. I have MS so this isperfect.

Made well, 2 Velcro straps on either side to help adjust for size difference. The design flaw comes with the ice packs. Maybe 50+ ice packs but they are as big as a tide pod. First night froze for well over 3 hours in a deep freezer, took it into extreme heat (extrusion) 110+ and melted within the hour.Tried it again for a 2nd night, froze well over 14+ hours, took it into work, wore a 2nd layer, vest on top, and another shirt. 115+ temps, melted again within the hour just getting my clothes wet. Returning this because I’m highly disappointed. I’m sure it would work great if it was extreme heat, but what purpose is it to have the best for 1 hour?!
