Astronaut Foods Freeze-Dried Ice Cream Sandwich, NASA Space Dessert, Vanilla, 6 Count

When I'm pregnant I crave this. I'm assuming it has a lot to do with the texture rather than the taste itself.The cookie part is crispy but melts in your mouth just as the ice cream does, but the ice cream almost has this sound of breaking styrofoam when you bite into it. The cookie part is chocolatey but not overly so. The ice cream has a good flavor if you allow it to melt slightly in your mouth.My 4 year old and 15 month old absolutely love these too. The price is kind if high for a snack youd reach for often, but as an occasional treat I think its reasonable.Most of the bars came intact, no air bubbles, and none were crushed. A couple of them were broken in half which is fine and to be expected.

Great product and excellent food source for a bug out situation. They taste fresh and are moist when opened. The freeze dring keeps moisture in and opening makes it soft and moist. They're worth the money imo. They're very durable and fit in a bug out bag extremely easily.. the packaging iseasy ro identity and to see at night. I put mine in my bug out bag. They only weigh 1oz each. So far ultra light go Bag this is a no Brainer. Highly recommend!!!

The first time I ordered this ice cream, I ordered the neopolitan and vanilla mix. Texture was great, flavor was there too. This time I ordered only vanilla, the ice cream is darker, shattered in the bag, the flavor is off and so is the texture.

This stuff was made incorrectly. I believe they allowed the ice cream to melt before it was dehydrated which causes the inside to become very hard and in some places very sharp. The mass that melted and became is what I showed in the picture. Plus it doesn’t taste right and when it’s this expensive it becomes a complete waste of money.
