NO ITCH!!
Recently I've developed an allergy to shampoos. Basically every shampoo I've tried leaves my body unbearably itchy. The worst offender was actually an anti-itch shampoo (ironic, I know). This shampoo is honestly the best I've tried, ever. It doesn't tangle my hair and leaves my hair feeling very, very soft, something I've never experienced before with shampoo (usually they make my hair feel rough). I also get NO itch with this shampoo which I really enjoy, and there is no overpowering scent. The only downside to this shampoo is that it is really runny. I already knew this because I had read the reviews before using it, but if you didn't know it would definitely catch you off guard. Cantu should really put this into a shampoo bottle or a pump. Overall, this is my favorite shampoo and I will continue to use till the end of time!

It will make your head smell like rotting cabbage.
Ever heard the term "snake oil salesman"? That's what this company is. I bought this and their conditioner and both products were just AWFUL. Stay away from anything with their name on it. I'll discuss the conditioner in a separate review just for that; this is about the shampoo. This will not get your hair clean because there is NO SOAP IN IT. It's like the stuff that hippies use when they decide they would rather not pay the grocery store for shampoo when they can just mash up a bunch of herbs and fruits from their own garden. When I squeezed it into my hand, my first thought was how much it reminds me of what happens if you cut open a mango that's been sitting on a windowsill for six weeks. Then I was a good sport anyway, gave it a try, and my thought after using it for a couple of days was still about how much it reminds me of that... plus how it didn't get my hair any cleaner and now I smelled like a compost heap... plus how it gave me allergic dermatitis. It's just gross. Don't buy this. If you need more details, keep reading.Consistency: very wateryColor: semi-transparent, greenish-grey like the water you find at the bottom of your trash canSmell: like a compost heap, and that is what YOU will smell like after using it.Ingredients: all natural, sure... but there are no actual soap ingredients so it is not going to clean your hair. And they're all made from plants that a lot of people - including me as it turns out - are allergic to, so it is NOT hypoallergenic as it claims on the bottle. How soap works: the laureth-sulfate molecule (or lauryl sulfate) has two parts - the lauryl section and the sulfate section. The lauryl section is a long chain of carbons and hydrogen atoms, chemically speaking it's very similar to palm oil. This section grabs onto oil and grease, which is the main source of "dirt" in a person's hair. But since it is basically like oil it doesn't normally mix with water. Then the sulfate section (sulfur and oxygen atoms) mixes very well with water AND the way the molecules arrange is like little bubbles with the lauryl group facing inward and the sulfate facing out, so the grease and oils get trapped inside the bubble. Then the sulfate grabs onto the water in the shower (or bath) and lets you rinse all the grease and dirt away. This has been used for hundreds of years because IT WORKS. You probably don't want to eat the stuff, but it gets you clean. Legitimate shampoos are mostly made of this laureth sulfate (soap) stuff. Aside from that, most shampoos have fragrance so they smell nice, dyes to make it colorful, and some salts to keep it from feeling too greasy or soapy. But this stuff doesn't have the lauryl sulfate molecules, dyes, or fragrances as ingredients. So you can't call it soap. It WILL NOT get your hair clean. And it will make your head smell like rotting cabbage.Bottom line: it's just gross. You don't want to rub this into your hair. Trust me on this and go buy a REAL shampoo. It won't remove any grease or oil, it smells SO BAD, you might be allergic to it, and it looks like the liquid that drains out of a landfill. I bought 2 bottles and after trying for two days and not being happy with it I threw both of them in the trash. Same for the conditioner.

Feels and works like a normal shampoo for sensitive skin and curly, textured hair!
I posted this review for the conditioner as well. Highly recommend them both!I have thirsty, coarse hair. Lately, I have become more sensitized to fragrance. Additionally, the products I prefer to use have been discontinued. These issues resulted in me using a mess of different items meant for people with curly hair, sensitive hair, itchy scalp etc. etc. etc. that really accomplished nothing but cluttering my shower and making my hair AND scalp WORSE.This really hits the spot: Good for curly hair (sulfate, silicone free), Good for sensitive skin (fragrance free, halleluja!). I occasionally use a clarifying shampoo, but this is it for me! No longer will rinsing my hair result in an itchy back and shoulders! No longer is my scalp dry from weird sensitivities! GONE is the endless clutter in my shower! SO LONG stripped hair and crunchy ends!! The smell is a generic soap one you may be familiar with if you use unscented products. It doesn't smell bad or linger. Just an absence of fragrance. Just what the doctor ordered! After using this as my regular wash, I will apply some other products out of the shower and make sure they don't get on my scalp or skin. This has really turned my hair around! LOVE THIS! More hypoallergenic products for curly heads, please!

May work for you
I can only use fragrance free products and was hopeful when I found this. But it seems too moisturizing for me, made my hair greasy. I posted a picture with the ingredients. There are alot of ingredients.

Great for sensitive skin
I’m not using this shampoo anymore because I’ve found another one that works better for me, but this one was the first I tried in my journey to find something that wouldn’t cause hair fall or dryness. It definitely worked immediately and it’s how I knew I was sensitive to any fragrances/limonene/linalool. It just bothered me that my hair got oily after 1-2 days and that I had to use a lot of product. I don’t use it anymore, but definitely a good product to start with or for kids!

Very Moisturizing and No SCENT !!!
Wonderful product ! Was very moisturizing without weighing the hair down. It’s truly unscented and it’s hypoallergenic which is great ! For once I could do my hair routine and not sneeze from the scents. Definitely recommend to anyone who’s sensitive to scents and needs good moisture that won’t weigh down their curls

No allergies
Overall, I like it. No scent and not irritation. Love that aspect. It's EXTREMELY runny (reasonI took one star off). I lost about 1/4 of a cup, when I first poured it in my hand. Company definitely needs to use a pump bottle and not a tube for this stuff! My natural curls look awesome. It did seem to make my ends slightly drier than other shampoo, but it made my hair look great!
