Legends Series Iron Man (Model 01 - Gold), Iron Man Comics Collectible 6-Inch Action Figure, Retro-Inspired Blister Card

Both Iron Man and the Hulk were gray in their earliest appearances. So far as I can tell this is indeed a faithful representation of the original "Golden Avenger" after Tony Stark realized his gray version could be a bit too forbidding and painted it gold/yellow. Way cool! Nicely done! This is the model that earned Iron Man the sobriquet "Shellhead." This version incorporates what looked to me as a child like a skirt, and that struck me as just a little un-masculine. The accessories include jet exhaust for his boots which I belive are an anachronism. Originally, if I recall correctly, I.M. flew with the aid of reverse magnets (later called repulsors) like the ones in his gloves. (I can see why they'd like us to forget that detail.) The same manufacturer also makes a very cool original gray version which, curiously, is also labeled "Model 01."

Can't go wrong with Legends Action Figures. They come with extra parts and the figures move smoothly. They last forever and hold their value. Do not by the knock offs you will be disappointed in them and amazed in the legends.

Nice figure. The gold color really makes it stand out. Also has nice size when standing next to the other marvel characters.

excellent throw back to the golden age of iron man well worth price

This is a great action figure representation of the second armor of iron man. Before the mark whatever, this is a well done figure, well sculpted, well articulated and near spot on as if it stepped out of a comic book and stood on your desk, table or shelf. I am a definite throw back to the original years and this is that. So $25 not a bad price to experience a time machine type feeling in your hand.

Amazing figure. I live the robust and retro design. Joints are smooth and accessories are great. For the discounted price, it was a great purchase

This Iron Man armor replicates Iron Man’s second appearance. I never thought I’d be holding an action figure of the gold Iron Man, and it’s a great addition to my Hall of Armor. The figure poses decently, reflecting the limited mobility of this model. The eyes are well-painted, visible through the slits, and the sculpt of Tony’s face is excellent. I’m only disappointed that there are not many accessories. It only comes with two additional hands and some repulsor blast effects.
