Great tripod.
I actually purchased this for camping to hang my led lighting from so it doesn’t glare. The build quality is fantastic, it fits nice and compact in the included bag. It’s is aluminum so very light weight but is very solid and strong. Great value for money

Should suffice for my purposes. Arrived damaged.
This would probably be adequate for setting up a light in a studio and leaving it. I wouldn't use it for an umbrella or a shade, and I definitely wouldn't use it on mobile shoots where you're constantly setting up and moving things. There is nothing at all about this stand that I would call "heavy duty" as claimed. Fortunately, I only need it on very rare occasions to set up a laser level, when I need the level up around 8 feet high for installing a suspended ceiling. When this eventually breaks - and it will - I will try one from a different manufacturer. The stand arrived damaged. That's just a bad start overall. The rivet at the bottom of the mast that fastens the mast to the leg braces is too short, so it didn't even penetrate the mast, meaning the mast was not attached. So the first thing I had to do was drill out the original rivet and replace it with one that was long enough. Fortunately, I have those on hand. I imagine that the average photographer doesn't keep a supply of rivets and a rivet gun on hand, so that could be a bigger issue for some people. The claim of 110" height is misleading. As pictured on the product page, with the leg braces horizontal, you're only going to get about 100". To get the full 110" height, you have to pull the mast up farther - inverting the leg braces - which seriously reduces the stability. And with the leg braces inverted, there's no room between the braces and the legs themselves to add sand bags. The clamp where the legs meet the mast is made from thin plastic, so I would not be surprised if it breaks. And because it's just thin plastic, it doesn't do a good job of clamping down on the mast. Like I said - not "heavy duty" at all.The ball mount for the top is sturdy enough, but the 1/4" threads are poorly manufactured, so there is significant wobble when screwing an attachment onto it. The locking plate is just plastic, so there is potential for the threads on it to strip out, and it was cross-threaded when it arrived, which just furthers the potential for stripping. Again, not "heavy duty".The spigot mount on the top of the mast is non-removable, and the 1/4" thread on it is also non-removable. So if you are mounting a light that clamps onto the spigot, it's going to hit the 1/4" screw and not have a stable mount on the spigot. I can get around that because I have extra spigots with 1/4" female threads, so I can add one of those on top so there's no threads sticking out. Not an ideal solution, and not one that anyone should have to do. Poor design. Finally, the storage bag is so thin that it feels like I could stick my fingers through it. If I had to put the stand in and out of the bag very many times, the bag is not going to survive. And while this is just the bag and not the stand, once again, it is most definitely not "heavy duty".

Really happy with the find!
To be honest I don't even know what features people want from high end expensive light stands. Probably just heavier weight so that they don't tip as easily. I've only used cheap light stands before, and the occasional C-stand.But given my limited experience, I really like this light stand! It's taller than any others I have, which will be really useful. But I also won't travel with it as much because it doesn't break down to be as short as my others. The stand is thicker and feels more heavy duty without actually being heavy. I like that it has springs inside so if the light stand retracts and drops, it'll bounce. You should know, however, That the carrying bag is really thin and cheap. The drawstring straps are not a great design. I also wish the bag were just a tiny bit longer so that the ball head could fit inside the bag when it is installed rather than poking out the end like it does now.

Very nice sturdy light stand
I bourght it for my GVMSD300 led light. I feel it is a very well made and very sturdy light stand. It is as good as the stand three times more expensive than this.
