ALPHA-H | Vitamin C Serum with 10% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid | with Hyaluronic Acid | Improves Dull Complexion

This serum is supposed to be used in the day and followed by a slew of ALPHA-H products. I have been using it at night. I put it on, let is dry, and then cover my face with a cream--sometimes a night cream, sometimes just a face cream. The results are OK, but I expected more. The serum + creams seem to keep by face lines in check. They are not so deep that even a good night treatment will not make them disappear temporarily in the morning. Vitamin C is good for lines and hyaluronic acid is great. They are the principal active ingredients here. The actual ingredient list is not available on the Amazon page--which is annoying. After water, the first ingredient is vitamin C. So, the product's that it is 10% vitamin C could be right. Hyaluronic acid is way down the list--it's number 9. The two other constituents that ALPHA-H advertises are even further down the list. I think the product would be better with more hyaluronic acid.

I thought this product was going to be oily on my skin just from the consistency of it, but it’s not. Yay! There is absolutely no scent to this product which is another plus. I wasn’t sure what ethyl ascorbic acid was so I looked it up. From what I understand, it is the most stable type of vitamin c . Another yay from me! This seems like a really good product. It goes on smoothly and easily. It did not turn my skin red. I was sure to let it dry before adding my moisturizer over it. I use a face fan so it didn’t take long. My moisturizer and makeup layered fine over it. The only reason I deducted a star is due to the price point. I feel like $74.76 per ounce (at this time) is a little steep. If the price doesn’t bother you, I highly recommend this product.

I have used many Vitamin C serums and this is the one that made me realize I am probably allergic. I have been experiencing mild eczema on my eyes for the past few months and I thought it was due to a dietary allergy but when I first used this serum my eye severely swelled. The formulation seems great but I can't use it :/ This serum has a great feel and thankfully doesn't have the hotdog smell. Please do not listen to the other review mentioning the expiration of this serum being 2-3 months. That is only true when the Vitamic C is in the form of L-Ascorbic acid; Ethyl Ascorbic acid is a STABLE version. Even though this serum messed me up I won't stand for the misinformation LOL. If you can tolerate Vitamin C well then this serum would be a great choice for you!

This is a vitamin C serum. It’s quite light on the skin. I find that it both smooths and brightens tone. It layers well without flaking. Out of the container, the serum lacks the pleasant scent that most vitamin C serums have. It’s a bit dank and pungent. The smell doesn’t last long but I found it startling. That’s probably the only drawback to this serum which I otherwise like a lot.
