The rusted finish clavos do have a slight powder residue that does slightly rub off when touched. They will continue to rust and darken in color over time and it is recommend that you use these clavos indoors or areas where they will not be handled often. The unfinished clavos will naturally oxidize if exposed to humidity and is recommended for interior use. The sealed rusted and unfinished clavos can be used outside as they have been coated with a sealer that helps to prevent rust.
