TOPDON TS001 256x192 IR Resolution Thermal Camera for Android, Thermal Night Vision Monocular Thermal Imager with 9mm Adjustable Focus Lens, Infrared Test Report, -4°F~1022°F TEM Range

The Topdon TS001 is a thermal camera that plugs into the USB-C port on your phone. It also comes with an extension cable that allows you to move it about two feet away from your phone, and also a clamp to mount it to the back of the phone. There is a USB-A adapter on the cable and a Windows app to also allow the camera to be used with a laptop. Setup was simple, just download the app and plug the camera into the phone. I had some minor issues with the app initially and contacted tech support. They responded quickly and provided some good troubleshooting steps, then determined an update to the app was needed. Once I downloaded and installed the app it worked great. The camera displays color-gradiented video on the phone and the color corresponds to temperature. The color palette can be selected for different preference or to overcome visual color recognition issues. The camera has several settings to determine where numerical temperature settings will be taken. In the photos I used the line setting, the user draws a line on the screen and the camera measures along that line. Spot, square, area, and full screen modes are also available. I found this camera easy to use and surprisingly capable for the affordable cost. It's great for finding hot spots in walls, hot spots on car engines, measuring temperature of electronics, and a lot of other applications. I recommend it.

This little compact thermal cam is really handy to have. I have used in multiple applications so far since I have had it. I used the camera to find all the spots in my mother in laws house for draft areas around doors and windows. Worked very well and helped save me some time doing it the old way. I also used this guy to look into my field at night for animals and was surprised how far I could see out. It captures images, has a ton of customization tools, and is compact so I through it in my laptop bag or my glove box. Hooks up to the laptop or your android based tablet or phone. Download the app and go to town that simple. I didn’t realize how much I would use this but it’s been super helpful. It’s made well and seems like it will last. It’s easy to install you literally slap it on your phone and download and app.

This thermal camera has been nothing short of great. Once you have the app installed the camera will auto load the app whenever you plug it in making it quicker and easier then finding the app. It has a bigger zoom then the previous model without the focusing lens, but allows you to focus the camera easier with the adjustable aperture. It has helped in the automotive field with heated seat grid, heated steering wheels, also diagnosing brakes to see if one caliper or pads may be getting seized. As well as defroster grids this has done me an easy job in the field with my diagnostics and is a great tool to have for many fields even construction when needed to find temperatures and heat signatures. The clip to mount the camera to the back of your phone and not just hang from the usb port also makes this a large improvement from the older version of the camera. Overall this thermal camera is nothing short of great and I would highly recommend if your in the market for one.

This is my second Topdon Thermal Camera. The first one was the TC001. While the TC001 is great for indoor use, this one is better for outdoor or when you need to get up close to circuit boards. Having a minkscope thermal is nice specially when outdoors where this shine. But where it leaves more to be desired are in to areas. First is the manual focus. I understand why it's a manual focus for specific range focus, but if it had an auto focus, it would have been that much nicer! Some of their competitors do offer the auto focus optio. For their pjone monoscope thermal devices. Second one would be an easy fix as it's a software thing. Compared to their competitors, Topdon does not offer a zoom in option on the software. If they did, again, it would make them that much better! I docked a star for each of these two because I think that it's that important. Image quality is great, the case is a great add on that they should offer with all their theirmals(with a filler pad option for their skinnier thermals), software options are nice and user friendly, setup is quick and easy. I do suggest replacing the cable it came with and getting one with a 90° female connector and a slightly longer male connector or one with a skinny connector head so it can work easily even with you case still on your phone.

This thermal is awesome. My favorite part, is the dual function cord and adjustable phone mount that allows you to attach the camera to the phone. Makes it possible to keep your phone case on and not have to plug the camera directly into the bottom of the phone. The image quality is top notch for this cost level of thermal. Using it super close up(less than 2-4ft) gets a tad blurry, as this thermal is designed for distance reading. The deer in the video was roughly 150ft from me, in complete darkness, and still had a great image. I'm thoroughly impressed with the real time readings and different thermal time selections. This camera will not disappoint.

I seriously think this one is one of the better ones for the price... It's helped me locate coyotes and peeping toms on my property. It takes a little getting used to, and there's a slight zoom on the lense which I like, but I need to still get used to regarding depth perception... but overall- good camera

This thermal camera gives the best spatial resolution, all due to its focus adjustable, small field of view camera. The high fps is also very useful. I find it very useful for circuit debugging. Check out the video of a PCB being powered on. The 4 holes at the center left of the video has a pitch of 50mil (0.05 inch). The components on the PCB are mostly 0402/0603 sized. The transistors light up very quickly as soon as the board is powered on. This spatial resolution easily blows any other thermal camera on the market out of the water, expensive FLIR cameras included. My only complain is that the software is buggy (currently at V0.69 on windows) and easy to crash.

品物を手にしてみて、オモチャみたいな感じだが、スマホのUSB-C端子にサーモーグラフィカメラ接続とUSB-Cケーブルを介してスマホにサーモーグラフィカメラ繋げる二方式がある。私のスマホは保護ケースに入れているからスマホ側のUSB-C端子にカメラの端子が保護ケースのデザインの厚みのせいで僅かに届いていないので、ケース越しではスマホ側の端子に直接接続しての使用は無理。この点は自分の確認不足。又商品説明文にも注意事項の文言はないので減点いにした。 ケーブルを介してスマホ本体とカメラを接続すればいい。他にもUSB-C延長端子で工夫出来るかも。 アプリインストールは二次元コードからでは無理、説明書に記載されたURLアドレスからインストールすればヒットしました。説明書自体は消費者に親切な作り方をしてないからどこから設定していいか迷うこと多々ある。

Download app, plug in camera and you're all set. Good enough resolution, easy to use, and has more customization options than I can use. It has proven very useful in finding air leaks in my old house. My energy savings has paid for the camera and more

Interesting little gadget. So far 5 stars. Yet to test it against a Fluke or Visir for accuracy, but so far the readings are great
