Outside frame edge to outside frame edge is about 19.7" however, the actual seat width, depending on now much you compress the mesh cushion area, is only about 16". In other words - if your butt is more than 16" and you weigh more than 100 lbs the edges will put pressure on your thighs.

what is the maximum height that that can be achieved from the ground to the butt ? Does it work like a bar chair 4-5 feet ?
