DampRid AS01WMFS Airscapes Dehumidifier Starter Kit, Fresh Scent

My reason for getting these was that the medicine cabinet doors only allow six inches of clearance for items sitting on the counter, so the taller DampRid AnyRoom would get knocked over whenever I opened the medicine cabinet. The 10.5-ish ounce Generic Refillable Bucket would have also fit in that space, but the Generic Refillable Bucket looks like something you would hide behind the toilet or under the sink, not leave out on the counter.This Airscapes may be made of flimsy-feeling plastic, but at least it *looks* nice and fits under the medicine cabinet. So long as I don't have to touch it, all is well. It's smaller than the other Damrid products, so obviously won't absorb as much as the larger versions. The little refillable packets aren't see-through, so guess I will have to poke it with a stick to determine when it's been used up. The real Joy comes with the Amazon Add On program. Amazon currently (June 2017) sells the "Fresh Scent" refill packages (two pack) for the unbelievable price of $1.50 ------> that's 75 CENTS a refill. For that price you cannot go wrong.I do have a dehumidifier that I can roll out and plug in, but I don't feel like running it when I am not around to keep it under observation, and did get two of the 10.5-ish ounce Generic Refillable Buckets, but placed those behind the toilets. Placed the third Airscapes in the kitchen to see how it does as an Air Freshener. At 75 cents a refill it is much cheaper than the Pluggable versions that last about a month. Airscapes also uses zero electricity so Lie-o DiCrpio and ALGre might sail by in their MegaYachts to voice their approval.

Really great product. I live in a room with a bathroom attached w/o windows in the bathroom, so steam definitely builds ups and makes my whole room humid after a hot shower. Because of this, I have had problems with mold building up on my bathroom ceilings and the edges of the windows in my bedroom that I have had to tediously clean over and over again. I finally decided to buy 5 of these to place in my room, bathroom, and closet. It looks great and absorbs the moisture from the air like it claims it would. It also leaves a fresh scent from the little scent pebbles thrown in the packets.After a few weeks, water builds up in the reservoir which I can easily empty. I have been using it for the past 2 months and I have noticed significant improvements in air moisture and mold! I haven't had to clean my ceilings/walls since. My room is about 13x12 in size and I find that 2/3 of these in the room is perfect. I would recommend placing them in corners or places where you won't accidentally trip over it or knock it over because water WILL SPILL if it's in there.Love these, and will buy refills for them soon.

I use this with the Citrus Fresh Damp Rid refills  DampRid AS20CF Airscapes Dehumidifier Refill Pouches, Citrus Fresh, 2-Pack . I don't care as much for the "Fresh Scent" refills, I find them to be too strong and floral, at least for use in my small walk-in clothes closet.The holder itself is a plastic cube into which you insert the refill. The top is just a plastic grid that sits on top of the cube. It doesn't snap onto or otherwise attach to the base, which I think is a design flaw. I worry about it tipping over, and the top comes off pretty easily if the cube is bumped, so I keep a towel under the base just in case it should tip and spill.Otherwise, the product works well to freshen and reduce moisture in the closet as advertised.

This is tiny! I was really expecting something bigger and more crystals. Guess I should have gotten the large room size. But I liked that is is scented. It is smaller than a box of upright kleenex. I can't really report on how well it works but can come back and report on that after I have had it longer. It does have a good scent. It was very easy to set up. The crystals are in a small pouch and you just set that in the top of the unit. No pouring loose crystals. Looking forward to seeing haw well it works.

I have beautiful planter windows. They were not designed to be energy efficient unfortunately. I have constant condensation in my windows year round. I fought mold growth and would have to dry the inside of my windows out daily before I found Damp Rid a few years ago. I keep a container in each bathroom and each of my planter windows and it is amazing how much this helps, and how much moisture it pulls from the air. This airscapes product itself has a prettier look for places it can be seen, it also smells nice.

We use them in our family room, my husband's work station, laundry room and his closet which are all located in the finished basement. They absorb the extra moisture and do cut down on a mildew smell. We have been using these for years, when they became hard to find in stores near us, Amazon came through for us.

This dehumidifier works fine. It looks nice and the fresh scent (very strong at first) does help with musty odors. The only thing I don't love about it is the fact that you can't see how much water it's collected. I have mine placed on a shelf so I have to periodically take it down and remove the lid and lift the pouch to see if it's time to dump the water and replace the pouch. Just not as convenient as I'd like.

Works as advertised. I have a safe that develops a lot of dampness when closed because of the type of fire proofing it has. It has been in the safe for almost 2 months & has about two thirds left. Finally I can keep my valuables in the safe without worrying about mildew.
