Literally a game changer
I’m an older gamer that now just plays on a large iPad, and I bought a cheap(ish) controller to try out because the screen controls are pants. It was well worth it and I progressed well, but the sheer number of taps was causing RSI type discomfort. Enter the 8Bitdo Pro 2 - purchased pretty much entirely to get macros! It has made a huge difference for me because of the macros, but also for other reasons. What I like:* Marcos/programing* Comfort/design/build quality* Joystick operation is fab* Easy to use - the controls work better for iOS than my 1st controller* Software works well and is easy enough to use (with a caveat, see below)* Having 3 profiles is great if you play a few different games* Magnetic based joysticks are much more progressive (Hall effect)* All cardboard packaging so totally recyclableThings that could be better:* iOS app is pretty much what you get on the Mac/PC version but you need the controller to NOT be connected via Bluetooth - so it only works when it’s on charge for example. Find when you know, but confusing at first when it’s connected and the software just sits there with no warning* The writing on the black edition is all in black… so not easy to see (yes I know it’s a design thing lol)* The price - worth it for me, YMMVBeing able to programme the controller rather than letting the OS manage this is useful and I can’t overstate how well this item is made. The macros have made a huge difference for me, for which my RSI says thanks 8BitDo!

Works with everything!
These controllers are extremelly versitle and work with everything, even my linux batocera setup. Firmware upgrades are available from the manufacturers website, with software, plug in and away it goes, updating and keeping things running great. With the same software, you can also program in layouts which are switchable between modes. The sticks feel great and smooth, the buttons are perfect. I bought two in grey for the Switch and PC and another two in black for my batocera setup. All over perfect, I've dropped them a few times (the grey ones) and never had a problem, they just work!

Very good, but I regret not spending more on Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, for the HD Rumble 2.
I bought this as another controller for the Switch 2, already having the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller (and the included Joy-Cons) as a second/third controller for 3 player games or to not use the Joy-Cons. It's good, but I regret not spending more and buying a second Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, mainly for the HD Rumble 2.The positives: Connectivity was perfect. Needed a quick update of firmware to work with Switch 2 (plugged it into a MacBook, took less than a minute, really easy). After that all seamless, connects just like the Nintendo Controllers. Everything else about it is good - it just works, it's comfortable, it's well made, no issues at all. I like it...until I swap back to the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. The official Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller is slightly better in all areas. Little bit more comfortable (maybe due to placement of thumb stick), feels better made, bit better experience. None of that would be worth the difference in price though, apart from the HD Rumble 2. That's just so different, and night and day compared to the standard/normal rumble in the 8bitdo. That's a feature Nintendo have worked on a lot for Switch 2, and the controller matches what's happening in the game, with subtle movements that don't distract and help. The 8bitdo feels last generation. There's nothing wrong with it, but once you've played with the new controller, the Rumble feels annoying and wrong. It's for that reason, I wish I'd spent more and got another Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. However, nothing otherwise wrong with this (and no other 3rd party controller would be better), so a good option.

Great quality
I have bought 8bitdo controllers before and there so good and well built bought this version that was better than my own as a present for someone's birthday to use on his Nintendo switch works very well much better than the switch's very poor gen 1 joycons that cost way more. Only issue I had was pairing it said plug it into switch with cable and it was paired but upon unplugging cable wasn't not sure what the problem was but it did actually pair anyway bit strange but works flawlessly with my switch and nephews👌

Great for iPad gaming
Bought for iPad Pro to play Minecraft lol, works really well no notable lag plus easy to remap buttons in iOS as it’s fully supported.

Works perfectly with steam
I connected the device to the USB a port on my laptop using the cable supplied. And following the basic but simple instructions the device connected flawlessly to my Windows 11 MSI laptop. I was able to play no man's sky almost immediately with practically no configuration required. The device felt comfortable in my hands. Very familiar to a PS4 controller for me. Just need to get used to the controls once again as it has been a while and I've been struggling with the keyboard on my laptop.

Works well with Mac, but read the manual first!
Bought this in order to stream games on my MacBook. For some reason, it’s really hard to find a good wireless controller that works on Mac but after some research I found this. The control fits great and works perfectly with Mac. I’d recommend downloading the app for complete customisation. My only gripe is the lack of a dedicated on/off button as you have you use the start button for this. It’s not the end of the world, but you may be stumped if you take this out the box and want to play straight away.
