Extremely light and moderately breathable compared to other boots. They are not your typical ankle length boot meaning they will not prevent a sprained ankle like most boots can if you were to bend your ankle on accident. This is not a design flaw, it’s just not what it was designed to do. It is a lightweight boot. These boots are comfortable and if you pick the right size, your foot won’t slide, even if you order half an inch longer than what you’re used to. That being said, they are fantastic for walking on a trail and they are durable enough for long walks. Good for an urban jungle setting. Just avoid wet environments, they are not as slip resistant as I thought, and they are not waterproof, because they are lightweight. Wet roads, yes. Wet tile floors or any wet smooth surface, no go. They are not meant for cold environments and are not meant for protection meaning that if something lands on your foot, you will feel it! [Side Note]: No steel toe! Although, they make great use for CQC scenarios (Close Quarters Combat). They are light meaning that you won’t have to work that hard to move your feet when performing quick maneuvers like sweeps, kicks, locks, etc., they are nimble and often times in a hand to hand combat scenario, if you can get your foot positioned correctly where it needs to be faster than the opponent can, you have an advantage, and these boots definitely shine in moments like these! They are also really effective when sneaking. They don’t make a sound and their lighter build makes crouching efficient. This is of course, pertaining to an environment that has little obstructions, like an urban setting. Can’t say if they are as effective in the woods or any rural setting for that matter. Mainly due to uneven ground and higher chances of obstructions but I haven’t tried these boots in these environments so be mindful of what the job calls for. [Side Note]: They also make fantastic running boots. If you need to get from point A to B in a short amount of time, these boots are meant for that. So long as it’s not a smooth, wet floor.

Great boots for daily use and the field.
These boots have lasted me for over two years of almost daily use. They are comfortable and broke in pretty quick. They are about as light as a tennis shoe and are great for rucking or hiking. My only gripe is that I wish they did a little better in the winter, but that is not what they were designed for. The CIF gortex lined boots should be your go to boots if you're hitting the field in the winter anyway. They fit great, and are a decent deal for how long they last.

Hot-Weather Tanks for Hiking and Rucking
These boots are crazy comfortable and lightweight, but they’re not built for wet or cold conditions especially snow. For everything else, though, they’re solid. Perfect for hot-weather hikes, rucks, or just beating them up on the trail. And honestly, they look damn good too.

Better than perfect!
Unbelievably comfortable! They feel like they weight nothing on your feet, and fit like a glove.

Comfortable but Average Durability
Comfortable and supportive boots with great grip, but durability is average. Good for active use, not long-lasting under heavy wear

So far I really like these
Update Sep 2024: So far I still think these boots will be great. I have been trying to break them in and did get one blister in the process (probably tried to move to fast through the process). Original Review Sep 2024: I compaired with the Danner Tachyon. The Danner seemed good but wasn't as comfortable as the Oakleys in my opinion. Also, the Oakleys felt like they have slightly more ankle support (it is still minimal as it is a very light weight boot) I plan on wearing the Oakleys for training and i will report back if i remember. Pros: Light weight - they weight about as much as a heavy running shoe (I think the Danner was actully slightly lighter) comfy - this is personal preference Cons - not much ankle support. I am not going to try any rucking in these. I didn't need these for rucking as i have my heavy standard issue pair for that.

Ive been in law enforcement for about 16 years, and these boots last a long time... these are my 3rd pair, and will be my last!
