Q: What setting is closest to sunlight?

I just pop it on. But- I did use it temporarily as a grow lamp this past winter and it did better than the grow lamp

Q: How bright is this lamp? Some reviewers are saying it isn’t so intense. I need one for my office but don’t want to scorch my clients’ eyeballs

It's perfect, i actually bought two! The first is in a room with dark orange walls and i use while i get ready in the mornings and feels like soft yellow sunlight. The other is in a guest bedroom with light grey/blue walls and definitely feels brighter, but not overwhelming. I had bought a smaller type from barnes and noble that is more white light than yellow, and is at my office desk- that hurts my eyes after 15 minutes and is too bright/intense. This light is absolutely worth it! Plus its nice to look at even ahen its off bc of the cool shape/design.

The different brightness settings are just meant to mimic sunlight at different times of day. One isn’t better than the other, it’s just preference.

Q: At what distance is the brightness 10,000 lux? Some manufactures say 6 inches, others 14 inches, etc. What is the distance for this light?

the brightness can be adjusted from 5,000-10,000 lux and should be placed 18” away from you.
