Genuinely life-changing
I've always loved makeup, but in recent months, my undereyes started really red and irritated after taking my makeup off at the end of the day. The makeup itself never gave me a problem, just taking it off, so I started experimenting with different makeup removal products to find something my eyes will tolerate. I didn't have the highest expectations, but I had heard of the Makeup Eraser before and I did like the idea of a reusable product that was also gentle, effective, and (if you get the silver-infused version) anti-microbial. Plus it looked super soft, which is always a plus for me. So after wearing a full face of makeup (waterproof products included), I soaked it in hot/warm water and WOW it really did remove everything. I had tried makeup wipes, micellar water, different cleansing balms, coconut oil (ew), etc., but this was the first product in a long time that didn't irritate/cloud up my eyes or leave my face feeling unbearably greasy. Now I can enjoy makeup again knowing that it won't hurt or take forever to take off. Plus it's durable enough to chuck in the laundry with the rest of my clothes! No need to gingerly hand-wash it in the sink or air-dry it all night. My only complaint is that I wish they made multi-packs of this size. This "pro" size is big enough to take off a full face of heavy makeup without running out of space on the cloth. Selling a multi-pack of this size would allow for removing heavier makeup multiple times before needing to do laundry again. As far as I can tell, though, they only sell multi-packs of the smaller sizes, and I'm not sure if those are big enough for more than just my eye makeup. They are a little expensive, hence why I only bought one to start with, but I'm stocking up on these now and their reusability will no doubt pay for itself. Thanks for changing my life.

Yep, the reviews are legit.
Amazingly effective. I don’t wear makeup all the time, often because I hate taking it off at night. I’m now wearing makeup more than ever because of how easily my Makeup Eraser takes it off. I will second what other reviewers have said: get it sopping wet, with the warmest water you can stand, then add more water the second it’s not dripping wet. To get it wet enough, you’re going to want to make sure there aren’t any spots of lighter pink left; keep letting it absorb water if all of it isn’t dark pink. It will take a bit for it to get this wet. Reviewers who say it wrecked their skin were definitely not getting the cloth wet enough, because when it’s not crazy wet, you do feel the fibers against your skin, and I can imagine it being rough if you used it that way constantly. If you feel the fibers rubbing against your skin, get it wetter. When the cloth is wet enough, it’s so easy for me to get the makeup off that it almost seems to be melting off my face by magic...it’s almost spooky. I generally cradle the cloth with my other hand when I’m taking off my makeup, to keep it from being heavy and swinging as it hangs down, and also to prevent it from losing more water as it takes off the makeup. Other reviewers have said you can get oodles of microfiber cloths and use them for this purpose for much cheaper, with the same effect. I’m sure you can, but it’s wonderful to have a dedicated cloth just for your makeup. The tag even says “Makeup Eraser” on it, so others in your household have no excuse for thinking it’s a dishcloth or washcloth, especially if you get it in pink or another bright color. I think its odd shape helps prevent this confusion, too. One reason I’m glad I went with this cloth instead of a generic microfiber cloth is that one side of it has fibers that are shorter, presumably designed with the optimal length to take off makeup, and the other side has fibers of a longer length that are meant to exfoliate your skin, if desired (at least, according to included instructions). As with many other reviewers, I just use one area of the cloth at a time and can use it with at least a week’s worth of makeup that way before washing. Often longer for me, since I generally just wear eye makeup/mascara. The instructions say you can use cleanser or soap with the cloth if you want, but I don’t—there is no need for more than water. I bought two Makeup Erasers so I always have one clean when the other’s in the wash. You’re supposed to wash them in hot water, and they can go through the dryer, so there’s no need to babysit them as delicates. The instructions say it doesn’t matter which detergent or fabric softener you use, with the latter described as optional. I wash mine in a mesh garment bag so I can find it easier in the wash. In a pinch, I’ve even washed it by hand in the sink using liquid hand soap and a bit of scrubbing, though it’s much simpler to just throw it in the washer with a load of towels. I truly only wish I’d bought a Makeup Eraser sooner. Just buy one already. Better yet, buy two. So, SO freaking worth it. :) —- One note of caution. Something I found difficult to find in reviews when I first purchased my Makeup Eraser is how effective it is in removing waterproof mascara. I went through a phase when I wore waterproof mascara, and I will freely admit that it was a nightmare trying to remove it with my Makeup Eraser. I tried using eye makeup remover and even cleanser with it, but it still barely budged. Not wearing other kinds of waterproof makeup, I can’t say whether those will come off easily or not, but the Makeup Eraser is definitely ineffective at removing waterproof mascara. As a side note, the only reason I started using waterproof mascara is that I have very oily eyelids and constantly have raccoons eyes from the regular kind. After I decided enough was enough with disposable wipes, I looked for alternative options that would work with my Makeup Eraser again. I’d never heard of “tubing” mascara before, but the Thrive Causemetics kind came up after some googling, and I figured I might as well try it out. To my utter disbelief, the tubing mascara literally did not smudge one iota, yet it slides right off with my Makeup Eraser. If you believe, like I did, that waterproof mascara is your burden to bear, I’d highly suggest trying out tubing mascara so you can still use your Makeup Eraser and not destroy your eyes from intensive scrubbing.

Incredible & Worth the Price
I hate washing makeup from my face at the end of a long day. It got so bad that I resorted to placing hand towels on my pillows so I could go straight to bed without removing my makeup and not stain my pillow cases during the night. Since I took the leap of faith required to purchase a product that boasts what seems impossible, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the positive results. The cloth removes every shred of makeup and leaves my face feeling cleaner than using a makeup remover cloth. It removes all traces of eyeliner, mascara and lipstick as well. The cloth is the most effective beauty product I’ve ever tried. I bought two more to get me between wash cycles. I’ve also used Dawn spray dishwashing soap in between machine washings to remove makeup from the cloth. However, it still works brilliantly if you don’t. Absolutely worth the price.

Best Makeup Remover- HANDS DOWN
*asked in the voice of Mr Quirrel in Harry Potter* WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?!?! Do still have other make up removal products in my possession? Yes. Do I use them? No. Will I throw them away? No, because I’m apparently a hoarder at heart. This cloth truly is magic. It removes all dirt and makeup easily, and it’s as simple as just getting it wet, squeezing out the excess water, and wiping it across my face like I would with any other rag. Except it’s NOT a rag. It’s a magic cloth from Hogwarts or something. Even when I wake up looking like a Gremlin because I forgot to take off my makeup from date night. *swipes damp cloth across Gremlin face* *poof* *able to leave the room and not scare children* I have purchased multiples so I never have to worry about one being in the laundry when I need it. Amazon is giving me all sorts of “ideas” for what to say about this product, so here it goes: it’s a cloth, so of course it’s travel size. I think I’ve already covered its performance. It doesn’t soak up a ton of water when you get it wet, but you still should squeeze it out- unless you like that whole “soaked” look. And since it’s a cloth and not a chemical, it’s safe for every face- including sensitive ones. Seriously- go buy one- or 7, like me.😂

Wasn't Expecting Such Great Results
Pricey splurge but it was worth it. This took off make up effortlessly. I was surprised how easy it was with just warm water, it took off tubing mascara without leaving pieces of eye product behind. It's gentle on the skin and eye lids, unlike the make up wipes I have used until purchasing this make up eraser.

Saves my skin AND the environment!
This is now my 4th MakeUp Eraser. I received my first as a gift and have been a loyal user for the last year since! I have 4 so that I can rotate them between laundry days, as I can use one for 2 days, removing a full face of heavy Zoom makeup (3 if I am wearing light pandemic makeup). They don't require any product to use with them, which is great for my morning wash. And in the evening, they pair brilliantly with my double wash stage, helping get everything off before my toner and other products go on. I do not use them to scrub or apply anything, only with lots of warm water to soak and massage off anything that is there. When I travel, I don't take a ton of cleansers with me, instead opting to just use this with loads of warm water for a good cleanse! It is so easy and works great. I like the darker colored ones, so this time I bought my second black one. While it is satisfying to see the makeup on the light colored ones, I have found I really don't like looking at it hanging on my towel bar with mascara on it. So I just remember that the tag end is for the first day and then toss it in the laundry when I use the other end, so as to not risk depositing makeup on a clean face. And the full size ones are definitely large enough to only use half! It is great! I have been using my first one for over a year and it is still going strong, but I am diligent about rotating them. A great investment, as I don't have to throw away so many makeup wipes (don't use them at all now!) nor do I need to keep a massive stack of washcloths. Just my 4 erasers and all is well! :)

All makeup is removed with just water and cloth!
I can't believe how wonderful this cloth is! My makeup comes completely off with no mascara residue left behind. All with just this cloth and water!! It's amazing and I love how the makeup washes completely out when I wash it with my towels. I will be buying several of these as gifts!
