Quality product that is just the right size for smaller roasts

I have been using this pressure cooker for many years. But lately, I find that the quality has fallen drastically- the steam does not seal properly so it does not cook efficiently at all, the plastic handles are of poor quality and after a period of time cannot withstand heat and crack, the pressure valve is of extremely poor quality ( two broke in a span of couple of months, including on my new one which I bought a few weeks ago). The replacement part for the pressure valve has been out of stock on the company's website for a long time.Obviously, there is a major quality problem with the parts! The company's customer service is poor and inefficient.Please do not waste your monies by buying a pressure cooker from Fagor.

As one of the customer wrote there are quality issues here. The pressure cooker worked fine the 4 or 5 times I use but then it did not operate so that it did not whistle and basically acted as airtight thick pan. I can't do anything with it but that; use as a pot and I think I will try another brand for my pressure cooking needs.

This pressure cooker has worked extremely well for me for 6+ years. With the popup button it is very safe, unlike the old style of pressure cookers. After purchasing mine initially on impulse, it sat in the garage for years without use. After setting up my own apartment I started using it and quickly discovered how good the food tastes and how quick and efficient it is. Brown some meat and onions, toss in a lot of vegetables, spuds, etc plus 4 or 6 ounces liquid (wine or beer or beef stock), bring to pressure, then reduce heat for 8 minutes and voila! Four to 8 dinner servings.... delish!
