This is great for training cats. Now started to use it on my kittens

Only just started using this to clicker train our cat. Clicker noise not too loud, target stick extends easily and has a nice sized ball on the end. Took the attachment to add the unit to clothing off as I felt it made the clicker and stick a bit unwieldy. Overall, a good buy.

I've seen these used on the big cat reservation in Essex. They work although not that you can get a puma or cheetah to do dog tricks, but they are good for getting attention. I bought this one for my blue cat, who is constantly learning and is like a little boy with a new toy! (MY CURTAINS!) Which needless to say are getting a constant hammering cause he's not learnt to use his voice when he wants the door open. I've tried everything from sticky paper to spray scratch stop and voice. It's no good, got to reinforce it with something he can relate it too. For behavioural problems its great, the only thing i struggle with is, I have arthritic hands and the clicker is hard to push when you want to reinforce the word "NO" with a slight tap on his nose and he knows I struggle. But the clicker on its own without the pointing stick, is enough normally. I don't use it enough to be honest, but he knows what its for. Cats learn alot faster than us humans believe. More intelligent than dogs and quite fickle too. Experts say, cats train their owners, but with this gadget, the owners train the cats.

Clicker is very quiet and not affective. I had to use an additional clicker this then made training very awkward as I had to hold too items. The whole point of getting it was so I didn’t have to do this. A sturdy pointer.

Clips onto your clothing with no problem. It extends from the clip, as the "aerial" does from the clicker part. Clicker sound is fine for indoors. Haven't tried it outdoors. Using it with cat successfully.

Wir nutzen den Trixie Target Stick zusammen mit dem integrierten Clicker, um unsere beiden Nymphensittiche Neo und Nala spielerisch zu trainieren – und sind begeistert, wie gut das funktioniert. Obwohl das Produkt ursprünglich für Katzen oder Hunde konzipiert ist, eignet es sich auch wunderbar für die gezielte Arbeit mit Vögeln. Der Stick lässt sich stufenlos von 14 bis 65 cm ausziehen, was super praktisch ist – so können wir auch in größeren Käfigbereichen oder beim Freiflug gezielt auf Abstand arbeiten, ohne zu nah kommen zu müssen. Gerade bei scheueren Vögeln wie Nala ist das ein echter Vorteil. Die kleine Kugel an der Spitze wird von beiden Vögeln schnell als Ziel erkannt, besonders in Kombination mit dem Clicker. Der Clicker selbst hat einen klaren, nicht zu lauten Ton, was für Vögel wichtig ist. Er lässt sich leicht drücken und reagiert zuverlässig. Auch das Handling überzeugt: Der Gürtelclip mit der ausziehbaren Schnur ist praktisch, wenn man die Hände frei haben möchte – und der Stick lässt sich durch den Schnellverschluss einfach abnehmen. Mein Fazit: Für alle, die mit Vögeln oder Kleintieren auf positive Weise trainieren möchten, ist dieser Target Stick ein richtig tolles Hilfsmittel. Er ist leicht, funktional und durchdacht – wir trainieren mittlerweile täglich damit. Absolute Empfehlung!

Utilisé avec des perroquets (gris du gabon) Le clic est pratique et bien audible Le fait d'avoir un pointeur téléscopique dont on peut régler la longueur (de 1 à 60cm environ) avec une petite boule qui attire l’œil au bout est utile Dommage je pensais qu'il y avait une dragonne pour l'attacher au poignet mais ce n'est pas le cas) Par contre vous avez un petit systeme de clip à mettre à une ceinture ou un vêtement (ça marche par exemple sur une poche ou sur le col d'un tshirt) avec un fil télescopique. Donc vous pourrez vous servir du clicker puis le lâcher et il va juste pendre par son attache, ce qui est pas mal aussi pour toujours pouvoir garder les mains libres Pour voir comment ça s'utilise, quelques exemples sur la chaine youtube birdtricks (par exemple sur "The Basics of Training Your Parrot" vers 5'35" ou d'autres comme "how to get closed to your terrified bird" etc)
