Perfect size notebook for my front pockets

My husband is blue collar. He works outside and needs to be able to take notes regardless of the weather. He is, also, notorious for not cleaning out his pockets before washing his work pants. These notebooks have gone through the wash and his notes are still legible; there isn’t even a single smear. I don’t know what kind of magic keeps the ink on the paper, but I’m impressed.
