Great way to turn a Webcam into a surveillance camera.
I bought this in order to place a Lifecam Cinema HD webcam for temporary outside use in sunny weather, and it works great for this purpose. I was a bit confused by the picture showing two coils; when i unpacked the cable I saw there is an active repeater in the center of the cable, and a second repeater at the end. The repeater in the center is hard-wired. The cable itself is a braided shielded cable with a transparent outer plastic covering - this should help avoid interference problems and allow for some limited exposure to water, as long as you are careful with the connectors at the middle and both ends. When buying one of these cables keep in mind a few things:1) the cable length limits the rate at which data can reliably be transmitted (which is why you don't see 3.0), and the length also adds a tiny bit of latency, so some bi-directional devices may not work reliably if they cannot live with the extra latency. (certain printer protocols come to mind here)2) Also, the active repeaters draw a little bit of the USB ports power, so the actual max power available to the USB device plugged into it is lower than a regular USB port. This lower power might also cause problems with higher-draw devices which get their power from the USB cable. It should have no effect on low powered devices (webcams for example) or externally powered devices like most printers.3) Don't forget about the repeater in the middle if you are pulling your cable through a small hole in a wall - any such hole should be near half of the cable closest to the PC, and you may have to pull your cable backwards towards the PC.

Great cable for streaming music.
Cable runs 65 ft. from desktop pc to Mcintosh receiver and works great. Internet radio, particularly Technicolor Web of Sound, sounds great, as do my flac. pc files.

Great solution for long distance USB.
This works great! I have a home studio. I mic my drum kit to my presonus mixing board. It has usb out. I run that all the way across my basement to my control room, all tucked away up in the rafters. It gets to my computer and has no latency or hiccups or other glitchy things happen so far. It’s been great. I’m super happy with this.

Seems to work fine so far
Seems to work fine so far. Connected a USB device to a PC 30 feet away so as not to have to repeatedly connect a tablet to the device.

Great cable
Need to extend my SDR Radio outside. This length of cable made it happen. No connect issues everything seems to work just fine.I am actually run the 66 ft cable into a standard 20 ft extender and again it work flawlessly

Works perfect!
If you know what to expect from 2.0, and you don't try to make this cable to do what it isn't meant for (which amounts to every bad review on here), then you'll be completely satisfied with this very economical little bad boy!I'm using it to run the full 65 feet from my pc to an audio interface, which is very latency dependent and fidgety to boot. This cable handles it just fine!

Didn't work as good as a passive cable I've used in the past.
Not sure why it doesn't work. After researching a bit and reading some other complaints it might be because of inferior chips in the connectors. I wish I could remember the brand I bought a few yrs back with my other alfa adapter because it worked excellent. Had some issues come up that prevented me from returning it before the time lapsed, but maybe using a powered hub with it might allow me to make some use out of it at some point.

Works but...
This works and did what I needed but it can not handle full bandwidth. I used it to extend a webcam across the room for Skype. The video gets a little choppy. I needed two of them for the distance and the web site says you can use two for web cams but it was very choppy. I changed my setup and only used one.It works fine for keyboards and mice.
