Holy mackeral! This wouldn't even vacuum up a DEAD wasp! It has a function to blow, too, which blew it around.....

The second I walked in the door, package in hand, I was able to put this to use. There was a small flying insect on the wall and all I had to do was open the package, put the tubes on and suck up the bug. Safely delivered it outside and that was the end! I don't think it's strong enough to get big bugs or more robust spiders or flies that are impossible to hit anyway, but it can definitely do a variety of other bugs.

I was excited to receive this bug catcher, but honestly, the tube isn't secure. I wound suggest reviewing the tubes and making the attachment a more secure fit.

Very effective bug catcher. We use it for sow bugs, spiders, flies — every king of bug. Easy to seal the bugs in the barrel and take them outside to release. You never need to worry about getting bitten by the bugs, because they are trapped in the transparent barrel of the device, and then, you move the barrel to the “discharge” connection on the body of the device and blow the bugs out. Very effective on spiders and lots of other indoor bugs.

This device works precisely as advertised -- until it doesn't.It came with a strong initial charge which lasted long enough to allow roughly ten tours of the house, sucking up around ten spiders a shot. The release mechanism works great, and watching it shoot spiders out like some kind of shotgun of doom was a hoot.I then tried to recharge it using the provided cable. FAIL.If you want a spider sucker that is essentially single-use, this is a good one. If you want one that you can use for more than a few days before it is trash, you may want to look for a different one.It's kind of like fireworks -- a lot of fun that's over far too quickly.

I just came across a rather large spider (about the size of a quarter) in the middle of my kitchen. I was afraid to smash it since it might be full of babies. I was able to suck the spider into the hose and dump it in the toilet. No mess, no fuss! I’ve also used this to catch stink bugs that occasionally get in and crawl high on my crown molding. When it’s not late at night, I can easily release the bugs into the yard. Two thumbs up! I plan to give this as a gift for X-mas.
