Easy to install and performs as described. The only drawback is the code and the app only lock and unlock the deadbolt lock and not the second lock on the panel.

My husband installed it and he's good at this stuff....it was no problem for him. The problem he had was his lack of patience with the lock/unlock feature using the bluetooth. It does not lock or unlock immediately...it may take 10 seconds or less. I love when I come home with my hands full of groceries and before I leave the car I unlock the door using the bluetooth, grab my bags and when I come to the door all I have to do is open it. Very nice! If you're not using the bluetooth and touching the keys on the door pad, there's no delay in lock or unlock. Absolutely a great investment and my kids don't need to have a cumbersome key to bring with them when they come over to tend to feeding animals when we're gone.

Overall, the locking mechanism seems nice. As you can see from the pictures, the numbers in the keypad are upside-down, not a deal breaker but annoying. The Bluetooth only works when you are right on top of the door, so you might as well punch in the code or use the key at that point. The package comes with replacement door jam plates, but they do not give you all the screws. In total you need 8 screws for this product but they only provide 6, and that's from user manual. The door jam plate for the RV side has to be used since the door latch & the locking bolt require a bigger hole, however it is not shaped properly. As it comes out of the box, once you get the cover on the door jam, the actual door will not shut as the plate sticks out to far. My husband had to bang the plate down to flat then reshape it in order for to for to get the door shut, and he has to make new screw holes in the RV for jam. For the money, you would think it would be better.

We installed this lock on our 1973 Airstream, and it worked well for a few weeks. The door latched fine, but the lock mechanism stopped working (we didn't use the bluetooth feature at all, only the keypad). It worked great at first, but a week or so ago when we used the keypad to lock it, we could hear it "try" to work, but the lock didn't engage, so it never locked. Checked batteries, tried multiple times...still the same sound and no lock. I called Lippert, and they were very helpful as we opened a case (and said they have a 2 year warranty and they would replace it if we couldn't get it by troubleshooting the problem). But when I pulled up my Amazon order for the purchase order, I realized I was still under the return window by one day. So I thanked Lippert and sent back to Amazon.

The lock was very easy to install. We just popped out the old one and put in the new one and we were good to go. Instructions were easy to follow.

I have my camper set up permanently in the dry. This locked worked good for about two weeks. The first time the temp dropped to about 40° touch pad went out. I pushed on the numbers about 50 times and was able to revive it for a few days the it completely quit working. It's like most of Lipperts products, appear to be quality, fits and is what you were looking for, but just won't last. Going for round two with another brand.
