Solid Brass Skeleton Key

I was looking for a key for old mortice locks in a house built around 1950. It is a well made key and it almost worked. I need to keep looking.

Ordered this skeleton key on a whim after doing some research on antique mortise style locks. We purchased a 1940’s house and all of the interior doors (bedrooms, closets, bathroom, etc) had mortise locks on them without keys. Didn’t feel like going around to antique stores, estate sales, hardware stores, etc to search for a working key. I found this one online and ordered it. This skeleton key worked perfectly for our locks. Tied a red string around it to hang on our key hook. Very pleased with the purchase.

This key fit perfectly, without any modification. It's a bit expensive, but it seems well made and sturdy, and looks very nice.

Needed keys for my doors in my 130 yr old house and this key fit a few doors!

Where as I'm screwed on this order. No return option, plus cost isn't worth it. So my loss totally! You need to fix your photos of your product. You show a hole in the end of the key in one view. That is paramount in which type of lock it will actually work in. I bought a worthless piece of Brass (or brass coated metal) that is 100% worthless to me for what I bought it for. Represent correctly what it is you have for sale and stop screwing people looking for the correct product, that you blatantly don't have despite the pictures you show. Waste of money for a misrepresented product. Total fail...

This is a solid key. If your looking for replacements for your old house locks this key does the job. Tried a Cheaper one from home improvement store and it fragile. This one almost as sturdy as a original key.

The key is good and works in my lock but I’d say the same quality key that comes free with any mortiese lock, they give you two, you get at the big box store for $19 so buying one for $17 seems a little greedy should be like $5

This works!!! I have an old house and all the doors are original. None of the keys survived changes of owners. I found this and thought I’d give it a try. Put some silicon spray in the locks and every door works fine. My basement door pops open during the winter months. With the key, I can keep it closed (and keep the cat from sneaking downstairs). I orders two more to have around in other doors.
